UPDATE: The SpaceX rocket seems to have broken apart entirely in what looks like a major mission failure. During the feed, the rocket start smoking and then appeared to come apart altogether about a minute or more into launch. The resupply mission was thankfully unmanned.
The extension cord failed.
I’ll follow up with a second wild guest - the relief value for the LOX tank failed leading to a rupture of the tank.

It’s all government money, contracted to Space X. Much like most of DoD.
Looks like NASA’s honeymoon with taxpayer-subsidized golden boy Elon Musk may be over.
Looks to me like the manned version of the Space-X Dragon capsule would have safely separated just before or during the Falcon’s breakup. That capability was scheduled to be tested in the Fall with a planned maximum Q separation, but the test will now probably be pushed back.
Amen to that. A failed morality.
It’s a perfect analogy for the country now, we are full of bs’ers who can’t accomplish concrete tasks. But we’re going at making people feel good.
Matter of fact it looked something inside the cargo fairing blowed up real good. —
