This is only my opinion but don’t we have enough assaults mentally on a daily basis by idiotic things our government does, that we don’t need to have the added insult of threads at FR that are meant to frustrate and anger us even more? Who is interested in reading what some retard has to say? Who here needs to be upset even more than we already are?

The best article to date on the SC catastrophe was written by Dennis Prager - an article that had common sense and without the need to upset the reader. If anyone here is interested in reading what Salon writers have to say, let them go there to read it. The rest of us don’t want or need the contamination.

I disagree with just about everything the writer said. But on one point we at least come within hailing distance.

This loathsome murderer is not repentant, and has not asked for forgiveness. Even God requires as much.

Anyone notice that race relations have gotten much worse under Obama??

His divide and conquer strategy almost has the country in multiple civil wars.

Blacks against whites and police

Women against men

Gays against Christians

Illegals against US citizens

Never have I seen this country occupied by so much hatred and resentment as now after 6+1/2 years of Obama.

Its his legacy.

That and more than one murder and day in Baltimore.

It's a well thought out plan... intentional in it's creation of misery.

Who is asking anyone to “forgive” Roof? Answer: No one.

It's safe to assume Ericka Schiche 'makes it up' when it suits her purposes. The whole piece is light on verifiable facts and heavy on 'feelings' and hatred.

The problem the author of this piece does not recognize is that if one accepts that “whiteness” and “blackness” are intrinsically different, there is nothing to be gained by one side accepting the other. If it is a zero sum game then it is actually in each group's best interest to demand supremacy.
If there is no possibility of assimilation of one into the other, or even a possibility of osmosis where both conjoin and result in something new that mixes the two original components, conflict will always continue. In fact it is in the interest of each not to coexist but rather to push for dominance, as in tribal warfare or when an invasive species displaces a native life form.

This is the whole problem with “diversity.” Different people cannot coexist in the same community for long, be it Gauls and Italians in the Roman Empire or Serbs and Muslims in Yugoslavia.

Whites have embraced rock and roll that grew out of “black” rhythm & blues and blacks have embraced “white” sports like basketball and football. Now activists seek to end the distillery of culture that has been the United States for over 200 years. It's not am idea that leads to peaceful coexistence.

One of the reasons Charleston is more gang and black crime free per capita than liberal cities is... Wait for it... Higher expectations for its citizenry of all colors. And they rise to the occasion. Perfect? No. But better than the racism of lawsuit fear and the bigotry of low expectations.

This author does not want peaceful coexistence, she wants to rule.

“Higher expectations.”

Yes.

While this author doesn’t believe in humanity.

These people are truly bat$hit crazy.
They are actually angry about the fact that all PEOPLE get along ok in the south. They are pissed because people aren’t rioting in the streets.
To be hired by Salon you must have to prove you are certifiably insane.

“it’s also worth pointing out there is an air of anti-black sentiment which continues to threaten and undermine America’s integrity and position as a global power. ….”

Can she exaggerate a little more? lol, well duh. I wonder why that’s happening. s/ Commies really are delusional.
Love Sheriff Clarke. (when has he ever “said the wrong thing at the wrong time”? If you disagree with them, it’s “wrong”.)

She's resting for now, thinking up more grievances.
