A church ceremony is a blessing of the marriage but the marriage is only “legal” when registered by a clerk in the town hall, so many couples have 2 weddings and others just skip the church
many people are atheist or agnostic anyway
This is one where it would be great for muslims TO stand with “People Of The Book” Christians because for sure Bruce and Muhammed are not going to sashay down to the mosque and demand an imam marry them
