Duhhh, that was the choice OBL made. He could have chosen not to have a gun in his hands, not hide behind his wife and assume a submissive position and he wouldn't have been shot. That's the point, the SEAL team was not sent to kill him. Those were not their orders. As opposed to a drone strike where surrender is not an option.
