Insiders worry the mogul will damage the eventual nominee and hurt a party struggling to connect with women and minorities.
All jokes aside, the Republican Party is officially afraid of Donald Trump.
He has virtually zero chance of winning the presidential nomination. But insiders worry that the loud-mouthed mogul is more than just a minor comedic nuisance on cable news; they fret that hes a loose cannon whose rants about Mexicans and scorched-earth attacks on his rivals will damage the eventual nominee and hurt a party struggling to connect with women and minorities and desperate to win.
Donald Trump is like watching a roadside accident, said former George W. Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer. Everybody pulls over to see the mess. And Trump thinks thats entertainment. But running for president is serious. And the risk for the party is he tarnishes everybody.

Donald is a showman.
Cooping him up in the Oval Orifoce..
Such a waste and a dilemma for him as well.
Being too out spoken is not always the best foot to get off on,
especially as you begin an extended stay in the WH..
This big tent is full of holes.
Few republicans tell it like it is.
If anything, maybe Trump will make the GOP grow a spine.
I am only terrified that I might laugh so hard it might hurt at anyone dumb enough to support this clown.
Yeh just keep drinking the GOPe Kool aid. :-)
Remember the Mel Brooks movie, History of the World, where Louis XIV urinates into a bucket clutched by a terrified peon, played by Mel Brooks..?
THAT is how the GOP views Convervatives.
WE ARE THE PISS BOY.
They take us for granted, loathe us, are embarrassed by us.
We are the Great Unwashed.
Don’t be stupid, Conservatives —LET GO OF THE G.O.P.
I don’t like Trump but anything that terrifies the GOP has got to be positive.
I will support a conservative. Even if he runs as an independent
But I will never support a liberal blowhard loudmouth clown like Trump.
He’s not conservatively correct on every issue, though he is on most. But he’s a nationalist, which scares the hell out of the political whores in both parties.
Trump is far less ridiculous than the current Republican leadership of Boehner and McConnell. And I am starting to listen to what he is saying. And for the most part he saying some good things.
“Im souring on almost EVERYONE from the GOP.
Cant believe it, but yeah, Im thinking about the Donald.”
Yeah. Me too. At least I know up front what he i and what he isn’t.
I don’t think I have to worry about him selling out for money.
Pandering GOP-E.
They're here. See post #25.
You are a moron too the tenth power! Not a liberal like your candidate Mitt Walker or “ I don’t know where I am “ baby Jebby Bush the Mex. You need to find another country as soon as you can.
You’re supporting a liberal, I’m supporting a conservative. The end.
The end? If you are supporting Mitt Walker you are right its the end as Hillary will be our next president.
If you’re in a warmer climate, I’ll come join you heh.
Here you go .......
If I had to choose Trump or ....
Jeb Bush Trump. I will not be voting for Jeb if he’s the nominee.
Walker Walker but close.
Rubio tossup. He blew it on immigration and then TPA.
Carson Probably Carson.
Huckabee Close but I believe Huckabee would be a terrible president. Why is he even running?
Paul Probably Trump.
Cruz CRUZ.
Christie Trump
Perry Tossup. I believe Perry would be a weak president and has zero chance against Hillary.
Santorum Tossup. Santorum has zero chance of beating Hillary.
Fiorina close either way but probably Trump.
Kasich tossup.
Graham tossup. Graham’s only strong point is he realizes the threat of islam.
Jindal Jindal.
You’re confused, as usual. I’m for Cruz and have never said otherwise.
