I never equated today’s pols with our framers. I do equate them with our fellow Americans. They are as human as we are and subject to the same temptations.
It is silly to expect them to conduct themselves as saints on earth.
I know you didn’t. I did.
I see no reason why today’s politicians can’t approach their tasks with the same humility and dedication to principle as the Framers did.
