You have to be kidding. Texas will go blue long before it “goes its own way”.
Is that because the influx of Mexicans will change it’s politics? I’m not sure macho Latinos would go along with “los culeros” running things.
South Texas is largely Latinos and always votes overwhelmingly Democratic. Texas will be blue soon since we are being overrun by illegals and refuges from Cali (Austin) which also mostly vote Democrat Party.
Actually, in a surprise, the more liberal candidate lost the race for mayor of San Antonio this month. It’s a non-partisan election, but Leticia Van de Putte, Dan Patrick’s 2014 opponent, lost her bid for mayor.
