I’ve trashed highway toll roads every time I’ve seen them mentioned on the forum.
Every single time I have a swarm of FReepers swoop in to inform me tolls are a great idea.
They aren’t. They never end once implemented. Some of these schemes actually place foreign powers in control of the highway section where the tolls are being implemented. These are generally sections where the tolls are used to create or replace highway sections.
These states collect gas taxes, use them for other things, and then implement toll roads to boot.
That’s wrong.
