Nervous. The same sex ruling is far more crucial to the future of this nation than the obamacare ruling, in my opinion.

I think we’d adapt to same sex ruling if unfavorable. We’d invent a new union - a union blessed by God - a new name too. “God’s Marriage” or some similar name.
Since we obviously won’t accept that our “marriage” is the same as theirs, we will absolutely just come up with a new vehicle to identify ourselves. States will behave as they wish with the new union.
0care is one I’m more concerned with. Gotta begin unwrapping that monster.

The issue in this case is whether the Fair Housing Act allows lawsuits based on disparate impact that is, an allegation that a law or practice has a discriminatory effect, even if it wasnt based on a discriminatory purpose. The Court had granted review to consider this question in two earlier cases, but both of those cases settled before the Court could rule on them. - from the SCOTUS Blog.

I think that is too optimistic. I think the government will move against churches and sermons that uphold traditional marriage and will start opening churches to lawsuits, revocation of tax exempt status and legal charges of hate speech.

Very bad ruling. Will allow HUD under Obama to force the issue of Section 8 housing in upscale suburban neighborhoods because the “disparate impact” makes them mostly white.
