How about censoring, or even banning, “The Golden Girls” because of the character Blanche Devereaux who was a dyed in the wool Southerner? I recall even a few references to “Gone With the Wind” made in that show and this does not even begin to mention that Rue McClanahan (RIP) was very much a Hollywood liberal, along with Bea Arthur and Betty White.

I can just see any TV program or movie involving the South (Mama’s Family, In the Heat of the Night) being scrutinized like it was made in the same vein as “The Birth of a Nation”.

Ban GWTW and any works done by Southern sympathizers? Sure, let's ban every non p.c. work. Including I guess all works by leftists who were either admitted commies or fellow travelers. That would eliminate a very large pct. of literature, film, and other works considered part of American history. Dalton Trumbo was a commie who wrote many Hollywood screenplays. Should we ban "Spartacus" because Trumbo was a commie?

During the thirties and forties there were many Hollywood films with a decidedly sympathetic view of communism. Should we ban those?

I actually don't believe in banning them even though I beieve communism is the greatest evil ever created by man. And for the record as far as GWTW, I liked the book but not the movie. Couldn't stay awake through the latter.
