If you want to know what kind of damage can be done to a utility system by a hack:
CIA plot led to huge blast in Siberian gas pipeline
Given the potential for damage to the nations economy from a major cyberattack on the grid, some might suggest a greater focus on recovery is needed and should become as much a part of a cybersecurity strategy as are efforts to secure the system.
“greater focus on recovery is needed”
I suggest WE should focus on OUR recovery as it appears our electric grid “owners” won't survive a planned attack. If they aren't prepared for a sophisticated attack, they surely aren't prepared to recover from it.
I wonder if the owners of power companies have prepared to save themselves and their families. I think they have - they would have to be the biggest dummies on earth if they haven't.
And, don't forget, we have paid for the finest survival location in the world, stacked with the finest water and food and security and hospital with surgeon on call. We have provided that for Obama and family.
All of you are as important, really, more important, than Obama. Because you are important, prepare to survive when there is no power.
