Zanzibar a Muslim enclave of islands located off the coast of present day Tanzania, was where the rich and famous of this sorry trade hung out together.

This is the biography of one of their favorite chieftians with whom BO's Luo tribe had extensive business dealings.

Short version of this long story is that Islam tends to impoverish every civilization which it touches. And the chiefs of many tribes so impoverished were willing to sell whole villages into slavery to maintain their status and lifestyles.
