We have a situation where there is no left-hand turn lane to turn on the street where we live. There have been numerous rear-end accidents as people not paying attention tend to plow into those stopped (with turn signals on) to make a left turn. It’s gotten so bad that those turning left now get out of the far left traffic lane which puts them into a left-hand turn lane for ONCOMING traffic - had a few head-on collisions due to that. The bottom line issue is that the county traffic engineers changed the configuration of the driveway for a middle school across the street due to some public whining instead of aligning it with the existing street (where we are trying to turn left) and putting a light there. Idiots.
Insanity is starting to sound like an appealing option.
On my commute I’ve used the shoulder to pass people four times in the last six months. They just blindly pull out in front of you. If it ever happens in my “deer damaged” car, I’m hitting them. I could use the money to replace the car.
And no, I’m not kidding.
What about Tuesdays?
LOL! That will do it.
I will have to try signing up again soon just to have some fun with them.
San Francisco is filled with FOB immigrants who drive just like they did in their home countries, i have seen ambulances just turn off their lights and siren because nobody would pull over for them. A lot of these immigrants have no clue about US road etiquette.
Lest all think I am only blaming immigrants, native born Americans in San Francisco have been selfish and rude displaying no driving manners at all for at least 30 years.
Manners are dead.
Combine the two, and you get mayhem.
Maybe the kooks can drive straight into the ocean.
I bet the queers are upset with a law forcing them to “go straight.”
What a shame to waste such a beautiful city.
They recently made a road near me a divided highway with a concrete median, blocking most direct left turns, and forcing drivers to make u-turns at a few locations. Have had more near misses in the last year than in the previous 15 before the change. How someone can think u-turns are safer, or better for traffic flow, is beyond me.
Good point.
Ive never understood why global warming alarmists have never complained that speeding up after coming to a complete stop and doing likewise after going over a speed bump also contribute to evil carbon.
Not only does braking produce heat, but the California rolling stop is more carbon friendly imo.
All this is evidence that global warming lemmings dont understand simple physics and consequently dont question global warming propaganda.
What a shame to waste such a beautiful city.
