No, he did a LOT more than simply let it run its course. He co-authored that awful WSJ Op-Ed with Paul Ryan defending TPA, put out canned talking points trying to rebut Sessions, and then had his staff out in force on his Facebook page and the various Conservative forums (including FR) trying to sell the snake oil.
Before that Op-Ed, I was ready and willing to work for and donate to Cruz’s campaign.
Now, he’s just another GOP shill to me.

I could still see myself voting for Cruz over Hildebeast but any illusion I had that he is a transformational figure is gone.
Yup, Cruz is once again on my acceptable list. But he sure looks like a typical DC politician, and that is not good.
