Liberals would love to do this too, they just don't have the critical mass or political support necessary to make it mainstream. Burning the stars and stripes still (rightly) offends normal Americans, so they go after easier targets, such as the Confederate Flag.
EXACTLY.
Burn an American flag and it is free speech.
Ignore what and where the American flag flew and all is well.
Wage war on the “bigoted, backward hick southerners” and their battle flag will be easier.
What is funny is that most blacks here in the south could not careless about the battle flag. It’s always those elitist types from the north who come here and then moan about it while ignoring the atrocities of other flags closer to home.
To those people I say keep both flags flying regardless of where they flew or what they stand for to others i.e. native Americans or southerners.
