South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham will call Monday for the removal of the confederate flag from state grounds, a source familiar with the decision told CNN.
Graham, a 2016 presidential candidate, will make his announcement during a press conference with South Carolina's Republican governor, Nikki Haley, at 4 p.m. Monday.

He can have his opinion. If it gets him further from getting the Republican nomination I’m all for it.

As I posted on another thread:
The libs and MSM didn’t get the riots in Charleston that they wanted. Now activists (many from out of state)have come up with a divisive subject to ruin the unity of the people of Charleston.
Couple this with the bozo in the White House using this tragedy to make a move on guns, and you just might have the perfect storm that will lead to the civil war Roof hoped to start.
He wasn’t successful but the lefties might

Soon ANY flag, any symbol that offends will be “ordered” to be removed.

I hope this has ended Tinkerbelle’s career in politics.
Tired of voting against him. Want a conservative I can vote for, next time.

Has he withdrawn his Presidential bid yet? No point in it now. He might have figured more significantly in the south, but not now....

The writing has been on the wall for some time. Anyone competing nationally must dump the Confederate flag. While Graham is DOA as a presidential candidate is is savvy and wins re-election as a senator. He knows he loses by defending the flag. Nikki Haley, an Asian-Indian has no historical ties to the flag, I'm sure will be happy to have this behind everyone, especially for her state. I know I get flamed and insulted every time I post this on FreeRepublic, but lots of conservatives are not from or in the south, we do not see the flag as anything but divisive, defeated, disrespectful and no different than the NAZI flag. It belongs in a museum, not as a standard for Republicans or conservatives. Politics aside, only a clueless and bigoted racist would continue to insist on flying that flag. And if you are not, do you really want to have to keep explaining that you are not?!
No more than one cannot separate the NAZI flag from the atrocities committed under its banner, the Confederate flag cannot be separated from its history and more recent usage.

So answer me this as you want the flag down.
The KKK flew the stars and stripes too.
The slave ships flew the stars and stripes.
The Indians were removed, killed, raped, and robbed under the stars and stripes .
The battle flag was designed to distinguish between two sides if you know your history.
So answer this then.
Should the stars and stripes be removed and changed seeing as it flew over the destruction of a mass of people and flew on the slave ships?
If not then tell me why it should not be , but the battle flag should.

How about if we ban the Crescent Moon symbol? It’s been associated with a lot more murders than the Confederate Flag. /s
