Hang in there!! In 2001 hubby had his bladder removed and his urine rerouted to a wafer on his side. Upon leaving the hospital, he developed an infection in his incision that had to be packed every day to soak up the infection and keep the incision open for healing from the inside. At one point, the doctor measured the packing on one of hubby’s visit. the packing measured 72 inches long. Doctor was flabbergasted!! Anyway, this went on for 90 days, but when the healing started, it was only a few days before the hole closed completely. That was 14 years ago. Hopefully your problem will turn out as well as hubby’s and healing will happen rapidly.

Thank you for telling me your husband story. My mastectomy happen nine months ago and I’ve been draining ever cents. Lots and lots of going to hospitals being in the hospital hyperbaric wound vac. But my doctor my surgeon yesterday cut the sinus tracts a.k.a. tunnels out of my body took the rest of the breast tissue which was pretty much gone some radiated scan and flapped the latissimus muscle around to the front to fill in the hole that he left. He told me today that it never ever would’ve healed. I believe him because it had not improved since February at all. It was rough. But it will muscle around to the front to fill in the hole that he left. He told me today that it never ever would’ve healed. I believed him because it had not improved since February at all. It was rough but it’ll be better now.
