Tomorrow, Monday, Shimmer1, well, let her tell it:

I'm in the hospital with yet another infection but they've got it under control so Surgery has been moved up to tomorrow an is at 8 am [EST] and should last about 6 hours. It's to heal my mastectomy site which is still open and draining. Recovery time should be about 3 weeks. We will see. Thank you for your prayers.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers throughout the day.

Hang in there!! In 2001 hubby had his bladder removed and his urine rerouted to a wafer on his side. Upon leaving the hospital, he developed an infection in his incision that had to be packed every day to soak up the infection and keep the incision open for healing from the inside. At one point, the doctor measured the packing on one of hubby’s visit. the packing measured 72 inches long. Doctor was flabbergasted!! Anyway, this went on for 90 days, but when the healing started, it was only a few days before the hole closed completely. That was 14 years ago. Hopefully your problem will turn out as well as hubby’s and healing will happen rapidly.
