We saw an act of evil. Racist, bigoted evil, and to me the amazing thing is that it was met with grief and love. Think about how far we’ve come since 1963. The whole weight of the government throughout the South was to impede finding and holding and bringing to justice the men who perpetrated the [Birmingham] bombing.rWhat do you think?

Now maybe there’s some magic law that will keep us from having more of these. I mean basically the only way to guarantee that we will dramatically reduce acts of violence involving guns is to basically remove guns from society, and until somebody gets enough “oomph” to repeal the Second Amendment, that’s not going to happen.

Unfortunately, the historical meaning of the second amendment is only one Supreme Court appointment away from being abolished. Scalia is 79 years old, Kennedy is 78. Replacing either with a progressive in the mold of Ginsberg, Kagan, Sotomayor, or Brennan affords the left the opportunity to reinterpret the 2nd amendment.
Dissenting in the 5-4 Heller opinion, Justice Stevens stated, “When each word in the text is given full effect, the Amendment is most naturally read to secure to the people a right to use and possess arms in conjunction with service in a well-regulated militia. So far as appears, no more than that was contemplated by its drafters or is encompassed within its terms.” Stevens in also stated, “The Amendment’s text does justify a different limitation: the ‘right to keep and bear arms’ protects only a right to possess and use firearms in connection with service in a state-organized militia. Had the Framers wished to expand the meaning of the phrase “bear arms” to encompass civilian possession and use, they could have done so by the addition of phrases such as ‘for the defense of themselves’.” If you think a Republican president won’t appoint a leftist Supreme Court justice, remember Blackman was a Nixon appointee, Stevens was appointed by Ford, Bush I appointed Souter, Bush II appointed Roberts and tried to appoint Miers.
The 2008 Heller decision, affirming the individual right to own a firearm, was a narrow 5-4 decision. Replace Scalia and Kennedy with leftist judges and you have a 6-3 overturn of Heller with the Supremes effectively endorsing any legislation by Congress to ban any type of firearm. After such a ruling as soon as the Democrats have a majority in Congress, with a Democrat president or wishy washy liberal GOP president in his/her second term, expect legislation banning the ownership of firearms and requiring citizens to turn them in. It happened in Great Britain despite centuries of common law protecting gun ownership. It will likely happen here within 10 years.

Yep, that’s what it is. We have this beast called the government and when it’s run and controlled by liberals and RINOs it suddenly has an insatiable appetite for power, it sucks and sucks as much freedom as possible from the people until the people have no more. What ticks me off more than anything is they are OUR employees! What is this “above the people” crap? THEY serve us! John Kerry, Obama, Pelosi, Hillary, Boehner, they are no different from your local landscaper you hire to do your lawn. And they are ordering and pushing us around? Telling us what we need to buy, inviting foreigners without our consent, making deals without our consent, not even letting us LOOK at the deals they are making? It’s treason it really is, that’s the way they work. All of them should be removed from office ASAP, tried for treason and executed if found guilty. Do that, you’ll never have one iota of corruption in government again. But they get away with it because they know the people will do nothing. Maybe even the threat of a rebellion would be enough to stop them.
The fact is that the 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with gun violence!
The 2nd is for protection against tyrannical government.

This is all the evidence needed for regular Republicans (not elite) and other Conservatives to place Mr. Rove outside the purview of conservative, Republican and a truly slippery RINO it comes to the U.S. Constitution...
