While friends were commenting on his last Facebook post Friday -- and some were reading text messages indicating his plan to commit suicide by cop -- Trepierre Hummons called 911 then waited with a gun for police to arrive, Cincinnati police said.
When they did, he and shot and killed 48-year-old Officer Sonny Kim, a husband and father of three, police said.
Then he opened fire on two more officers, said Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffery Blackwell.
The police, while armed, didn't know what they'd walked into. That's because when when the 21-year-old Hummons called the emergency operator, he didn't hint at his plan.
Instead he pretended to be a concerned witness who'd seen a man acting erratically with a gun, according to 911 and dispatch tapes released by police.
"He's walking around getting belligerent with a gun," Hummons told the operator. Then he gave a description of himself in a shaky voice. "Very early 20s ... about like 5 (foot) 6 ... he's a little thick fellow."(continued)

It is unbelievable.
People like this are going to force cops to be more militant.
At hte same time the rest of us sane people see that more and more when you call the cops for help that’s not what you get and things go horribly wrong.
I’d say it’s classic Cloward Piven. And going well to plan.
Prayers for the cop’s family.
May the punk rot.
Was the perp black and the officer white? If so it would be hypocrisy to not prosecute it as a hate crime.
I think the mass murder at the church was horrific. God bless those people for their merciful response — returning good for evil.
There is, however, a lot of hate in a lot of hearts other than just a rogue white punk.
The criminal is black and the dead officer is a Korean immigrant. Perhaps many here will rejoice that an immigrant “who took someone else’s job” is dead or some such nonsense...
Horrible thought, isn’t it. The creep we have as president could croak tomorrow, but the plants with many roots are in place. Even a new administration would have a tough time cleaning house thoroughly.
Why would anyone rejoice over such a vile act against a noble man doing a difficult and necessary job? Shame on those who would say or even think such things. Prayers for his family.
There is a lot of evil in the world. We should condemn all of it, even if/when it crops up in our own hearts.
There are some misguided populists/socialists with their hatred for free-trade, but you have to be exaggerating a bit.
I am. But all this “H1-B’s are of the devil” nonsense wears on me. I understand being against ILLEGAL immigration, but legal? How do they think their ancestors got here?!
One reason I like Ted Cruz, besides his love of Christ first of all, is his vow to make his first activity upon inaugeration the revoking of every one of Obunga’s EOs.
You know the answer to that. Any and every Politian is scared to defend the police for fear the press will certainly eviscerate them. They feel safe by not doing what’s right.
