For Ted Cruz, The Hard Part Comes Next

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz blew away another gathering of religious conservative leaders this week, preaching about threats to religious freedom to a receptive and hungry crowd.

"I will never, ever, ever shy away from standing up and defending the religious liberty of every American," the GOP White House hopeful thundered at the Faith and Freedom Coalition's "Road to Majority" conference in Washington.

"Religious liberty has never been more threatened in America than right now today," Cruz added.

Cruz hit all the right notes and could easily be declared the winner of the three-day conference, which wraps up Saturday. But despite the good receptions at events like these, Cruz's work on stage is not translating to the campaign trail. He not only lags behind in early state polls, but also in organization. And despite being the first major presidential candidate to declare this cycle, early state activists are baffled by how little they say they have seen Cruz.

"I've always thought that Ted Cruz was kind of the perfect caucus candidate," said Craig Robinson, who runs "The Iowa Republican" website and is a former political director for the state party. "But what we haven't seen is a real commitment to the state."

Obviously the Democrats have sold you on the lie that all the jobs that were lost were due to NAFTA. We have lost thousands of jobs overseas because of regulations, unions, and the highest corporate tax rates in the world. Jobs are still being lost for those reasons every month.

That is why Cruz wants to rescind those regulations and get corporate taxes lowered. He knows that is the only way business and manufacturing, as well as 2 trillion investment dollars currently off shore will come back to the USA.

Don’t saddle US with another NAFTA ON STERIODS.

Look at what has happened with the “agreement we made with South Korea....who was that good for?

Of course that won’t do any good if Cruz has his way since he wants to bring in HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF H1B VISA FORIEGN WORKERS TO TAKE OUR BEST HI-TECH JOBS.

I thought Cruz was great.....but he apparently can talk the talk ....and not walk the walk. He needs to stand up for American Workers.

I have been a huge Cruz supporter, heck, I voted for him 3 times. Once in the primary, the run off and then the general election.

A major point for many Americans is they are tired of the game playing. This scenario sets up a situation again where someone can vote one way on one bill, therby changing the requirements for passage on said bill to a lower threshold. My other senator, Cornyn, is a champ at this game. Then,he come back and campaigns on the fact that he didn’t vote for said bill. I didn’t vote for him last time either.

Ted Cruz would have been much better served to not make it look like this could in any way, shape, or form be the end result. He has given me reason to worry about it, and from the looks of things, he has given a lot of people reason to worry. FYI, dems and rinos can be bought so easily, we should all understand that by now. If there is anything in TPP that would successfully tear down this country to Obamas satisfaction, he will get them in line.

In order to turn this country around (not just manage the decline), we have to hit on all full cylinders in every aspect of economy, including trading with other countries. We will need a highly-skilled workforce to expedite our recovery. As we know, the free public education of this country is horrible. What does it produce? Fewer and fewer qualified students for colleges to become highly-skilled graduates (science, technology, engineering and math). Meanwhile, we have to borrow some of those from other countries.

It would also be wise for many of the cheerleaders to refrain from using terms like hater, stupid, and posting long winded explanations of what the terms mean. I think by now, we get it.

For me, I am tired of the game, and I really am dissapointed that Cruz voted in such a way to allow the games to continue. That was one of the big reasons for my support.
