Unfortunately not just liberal states, since Sandy Hook, states including Colorado, New Hampshire, Florida, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas all added some additional gun control or background check laws, mostly around reporting mental illness. I wouldn’t say that some of the laws are all bad, for example the Texas law allows a police officer taking into custody a person who is mentally ill to take a firearm in their possession. But it does show that terrible crimes like this trigger incremental gun control, even in conservative states.
This is a good point along with many of the others. Hey, I remember having an arguement with someone in NY that told me I dont need more than 7 bullets in my magazine.
I just told him that the escapees in NY prison was a reason why its none of his business how many bullets in my magazine.
