Police and federal law enforcement agencies were in the midst an all-out manhunt Thursday morning for the gunman they say is responsible for killing 9 people in a Charleston South Carolina church Wednesday night in what police described as a hate crime.
The suspect opened fire on a bible study group at the historic black Emanuel AME Church on Calhoun street, killing eight people in an "unfathomable." Two other people were rushed to the hospital where one died.
Early Thursday morning, police released pictures from surveillance footage showing the suspect, a younger white man, approximately 21-25 years old, as well as the car he was driving, police said.

Several working theories, including an assassination of the pastor/Senator/activist; or
A staged "hate crime" similar to Sandy Hoax, playing the race agenda horns;
"Good to see that he's using his seat shoulder belt. Safety first!"
...or "she". The back slanted "H" looks like the Hyundai H rather than the Honda H. It's definitely no Ford F-150.
” a younger white man”
Unbelievable that they would jump to that conclusion before catching him and finding out what race he identifies with.
Is Sharpton on the scene? Is Jackson on the scene?
1-800-RACE-GUY
To me he appears to be a young white guy with a tan.
It also appears you and I are in the minority.
Nevermind. He was released.
So is that the guy?
Judging by how far back the ear is in the photo on the right , I don’t think this is a profile view or silhouette. I think the face is turned towards the viewer, like 3/4 view. This means the nose is somewhere below the part in the hair, but it looks like a long tuft of blurred hair is obscuring the nose.
Yes....”swarthy”. he may be as white as OPIE with dark make-up and a wig on.....but he sure doesn’t look white in that picture.
It should be ID’d quickly. It looks like a lot of what I think of as generic kid cars, older small cheap sedans.
South Carolina doesn’t require a front license plate. The front plate could be an interest group logo, a car dealer ad, etc. A hit-man/woman would not want any distinctive feature on his/her car, and that suggests it’s stolen.
Almost looks like a girl if you ask me
Looks like a mid-90’s Ford Contour, we had one in the lot at work for about 12 years, and it had the same lights, body style, and the wheels look the same. That badge could be a Ford oval with light reflecting off it.
Playing with Photoshop it seems to me the perp has a weapon in his front bag. The barrel is along the bottom and pointing to his left leg. Grip is along his right leg.
Meanwhile I think he is carrying a backpack with one strap hung over his right shoulder. He holds the bottom with his left hand on both pictures.
Change of clothes and ammo in the shoulder bag?
Possible that he wore a black page boy cut wig entering, then changed to a light blonde wig when he confronted his “witness?”
Like the Oklahoma City bombing when the first eyewitness reports were that "middle eastern-looking men were observed fleeing the scene in a sedan at a high rate of speed".
Judging by how far back the ear is in the photo on the right , I don’t think this is a profile view or silhouette. I think the face is turned towards the viewer, like 3/4 view. This means the nose - not a large one- is somewhere below the part in the hair, but it looks like a long tuft of blurred hair is obscuring the nose.
The bang is covering the nearest eye, but you can see the farthest one in the parted spot. It’s as if his head is cocked a bit and turned our way, maybe he’s in the midst of flipping the hair out of his face like a girl.
Reminds me of clouds, every one looks like whatever anyone suggests.
Apparently not.
