The only hurt she perpetuated is the myth is that blacks are forced into a life of deficient opportunity because of the suffering of their ancestors. There's no percentage of black blood that makes one black....that would be racist.
I read somewhere that those who self-identify as black are 1% to 99% black by heredity. Think about it. If 1% is okay, why not 0%? The woman has black adopted brothers and has a black son who made a statement defending her.
If there were any criteria, would Obama be black? He's less than 50% black, and can't claim victimhood, as none of his ancestors were US slaves. Identifying who is and isn't black would be racist. I had students once who are black/Sweedish. One decided to be black, one white. It's not all that uncommon. (ps: the one who was white culturally checked Afro-American for college apps).
This woman did us a favor. She busted the myth that black victimhood is anything but self-inflicted.
Yep, and moreover she showed us a way to bring the whole stinking house of cards down; let every white person claim to be black and use "affirmative action" to destroy the black privilege system and end this racist diatribe against whites once and for all.
