Several CoC members including the lady who organized the meeting have said the Cossacks were not invited. Cossacks are not CoC members.

So?

So?

So maybe you know less about the CoC than you think you do.

Don't you think it odd that my position aligns pretty well with the actual bikers on this thread - Those who actually live in that world - And yours does not? And yet you assume to know the truth, more so than they who live it? Shouldn't that bother you a bit when they all (ALL) say you are talking out of your butt? Just how many CoC's have you attended?

Bro you seem a tad harried by all of this. Take a breath. I give police the benefit of the doubt. If it’s proven that they acted badly, I’m the first to call them out. But until it’s proven otherwise, I side with the law instead of outlaw bikers. Even fake outlaw bikers.

You put the police on the street in Baltimore for a reason, and for exactly the same reason when 1% MC's are having a confab.

Aside from this not being a 1% club 'confab', ... is this why the police in Baltimore shot into the crowd and rounded up everyone on the streets and held them on a million dollar bail each?

Right.

...Or was it because they didn't wear patches in Baltimore?

Not even one building was looted and burned in Waco by bikers.

Thanks for playing.

Thanks for having a reading comprehension problem.

My post refers to why it's prudent to have a police presence in certain situations. It also attacks the excessive fines and the killings, which I believe were probably committed by police who shouldn't have acted in that way -- we'll see.

In reply, you equated the Cossacks and Bandidos with the BSA or somebody's every other Wednesday bridge club. Not hardly.

You're welcome, I did misunderstand your point and raised the ante on the disparity of police response considering the level of behaviour at Baltimore versus Waco before the shooting started. Not knowing who exactly started that, nor the fine points immediately following, whether police response (any shooting) was justified or not remains to be sorted out, but my impression is that it was excessive. We'll see. Considering that there had been no problems at other CoC meetings, this is unusual, and the police UC/CI presence in the clubs which were apparently involved raises the question of agents provocateur and orchestration with the unprecedented police presence at the site.

As for "gangs", when the defining characteristic is: 'similarly clothed and wearing patches', that covers everyone from Brownie Scouts to the Navy SEALs to the Yakusa (who have their patches tattooed on).

My point, to clarify, is that wearing patches is probably an unconstitutionally vague qualification for being considered a member of a "Biker Gang" (AKA: motorcycle club).

Wearing a specific club patch may indicate membership in group known to have a large proportion of members who have been arrested and/or convicted of crimes compared to people wearing polo shirts, for instance, but wearing the patch alone is not a crime, nor is membership in the group.

Beyond that, when we vilify and thus justify raiding or summary justice against entire groups on the basis of one or even a few members, the NRA, the BSA, even the Bridge club may well be open to being raided as 'criminal organizations'.

We do not want that future, and it is best to keep that camel's nose out of the Republic's tent. There are people in all of those who have committed some crime.

LOL!

*All* chaps are “assless”.

Otherwise, they’re just leather pants.

On girls, I reckon they’d be pretty cool.

Guys, not so much.

Unless you’re in San Fransicko.

:)

There *was* a list on the second day that listed also Christian MCs.

It has since gone missing.

Obama delivered a speech in Boulder, Colorado in which he promised the creation and establishment of a “Civilian National Security Force.”
He further promised it would be “just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded as the US Military.”

For once, he did not lie.

In an early statement, one of the cops said that ‘all bikers wearing vests were arrested’.

Hence, the tag.

A lot of the early stuff is no longer able to be found on the internet.

Wonder why?

Yep. Looked great on the ol' lady (my wife these days) when I did party with clubbers. (had to protect that "property" a few times).

I miss my super glide.

When I do see women wearing them ‘assless’, they usually have on a bikini bottom.

Once, I saw a guy wearing them the same way, as a joke.

Point taken.

:D

I believe my first post on this thread, href=http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3300886/posts?page=36#36 where I responded to one of these LEO types is what I have maintained. I believe that position is not fundamentally different from yours. Having a police presence in a potential trouble spot is different from having a hundred armed yahoos getting ready to lock and load from the safety of their squad cars.
