I sympathize with the dilemma of Rachel Dolezal, the head of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP whose parents maintain that she is not any part black, as she has claimed (#whiteisthenewblack). See, I too have been living a lie. For the past 50 years Ive been keeping up this public charade, pretending to be something Im not. Finally, in the wake of so many recent personal revelations by prominent people, Ive decided to come out with the truth.
I am not tall (#shortstuff).
Although Ive been claiming to be 72 for many decades, the truth is that Im 58. And thats when I first get out of bed in the morning. Just goes to show, you tell a lie often enough and people believe you. I expect there will be some who will demand I give back the championship rings and titles that I accumulated during my college and professional basketball career because I was only able to win them by convincing other players that they had no chance against my superior height. How could these achievements have any lasting meaning if Im not really as tall as Wikipedia says I am?
The evidence against Dolezal does seem pretty damning. Her birth parents have decided to express their parental love by outing her in response to a legal dispute they have with her (#returnworldsbestparentstrophy). They offered photos of a farm-fresh Rachel looking like she just stepped out of the General Store in Mayberry and a white-on-white birth certificate. Some siblings have also attested that shes not black, though she was raised alongside four adopted black children. Dolezal herself has just stepped aside from her position at the NAACP.
Despite all this, you cant deny that Dolezal has proven herself a fierce and unrelenting champion for African-Americans politically and culturally.

Unadulterated crapolla.
She couldn't have insulted (thinking respectable) blacks more if she had dressed up as Al Jolson in black face and sang Mammie on the sidewalk in front of the NAACP office.
Yeah, massa Rachel, she be good to me. I know she care about me. Jeez, this Bizarro World.
She's "in denial."
His rambling comments make no sense. Is he senile?
Im also coming out as black, yes IM BLACK..Ive seen every episode of Good Times so I think that makes me black
I can't because I don't know what a Twitter campaign is.
Anyway, let's go!
I identify as a millionaire.
I identify as the King of England.
I identify as a wookie.
I identify as a baked potato.
Etc.
He’s kind of ambivalent about it.
“When the identity becomes the accomplishment....”
This guy knows about trans-identification, having been born Lew Alcindor, the son of a New York City cop, not some exotic Muslim-African. (Although he played a mean game of basketball, which I guess ought to have been called cricket.)
So in the end he’s virtually forced to give the nod to what Dolezal did. He’s groping around for a degree of irony that would perform the coup de grace via reductio ad absurdam, and can’t find it. Not even in the “shorty” schtick. When everything’s absurd, nothing’s absurd.
That’s awfully white of you Kareem.
I see benefits from this whole trans-racial thing.
LOL! We have a cat who alternately considers herself a lion if another animal is on *her* porch, a puppy when she wants cuddled, or a person when she wants to run the show.
I got a very tight perm this morning and learning to talk ghetto. So I am black. As of this morning.
Amazing what this country obsesses over. Shows a deep-seated collective neurosis.
Teach them to claim they were born in a teepee and abused as children. Then find a random older black man to take a picture with and claim he’s their father. It’s so simple.
Is this another argument for “Just love people, you hater!” things?
A dog is a dog, you can’t call it a cat. A man is a man, you can’t call him a woman.
It is quite clear.
“How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.”
