The American dream is dead, but I will bring it back: Donald Trump announces for President

Donald Trump is running for president. The multi-billionaire announced his presidential plans today from his namesake tower in New York City. Trump, 69, was introduced by his daughter Ivanka as he formally declared his 2016 intentions, descending down an escalator with wife Melania to speak to the gathered crowd. In his remarks he attacked the Obama administration on everything from immigration and terrorism to Obamacare and the job market as he promised to bring back the American dream. He also released his financial information, revealing a net worth of $8.7billion.

'We need somebody that literally will take this country and make it great again. We can do that,' said Trump. I will be the greatest jobs president God ever created 'Ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again.'

As for what he could do for the country, Trump said he would be the 'greatest jobs president God ever created.' He then added; 'The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before.'

As for Obamacare, Trump called the program a 'disaster.' 'ObamaCare must be repealed and replaced with something far superior and at far less cost,' he said in his remarks.

Trump also put much of the focus of his speech on the issue of immigration.

The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before. 'It is way past time to build a massive wall to secure our southern border - and nobody can build a bigger and better wall than Donald Trump,' said Trump.

I will vote for your ticket if you make Jim Robinson secretary of defense, p-Marlowe attorney general, Kristinn Press Secretary, Alamo-girl Sec of Treasury, and Onyx Sec of State.

And ‘The Old Lady’ Secretary of Education, because we wanta Viking Kitties that mess out of existence.

“We aren’t responsible for how other countries run their businesses.....”

Who said we are? I like the price of the shirts. but Trump acts like he wants to stop this kind of import from China, but then does the same thing in Bangladesh.

He didn’t accumulate 9 billion by being frivolous with his money. If he spends it, especially in the January time frame, then he will see a path to victory.

The odd thing is that almost anyone could probably get more votes than Donald Trump if they started out with the same amount of money. I’m not saying that would be a lot of votes, but more anyway. Even so, I would say give the guy a chance to develop a full platform and see if he’s any better or worse than whoever turns out to be the front runner by spring. America could do worse, and in fact has done worse at least twice and perhaps many other times.

You would hate to be the running mate, however.

As I said the other night, I can take a hendful of cash right now, drive to vegas and have one of the most beautiful women with the most incredible bodies on the planet crawl around the strip barking like a dog in leather, high heels and a collar. She will call me anything I tell her to and compliment me on all aspects of my prowess. She won’t actually mean a word of it. THAT is what’s wrong with Trump’s words.

It amazes me how many people can't see through this clown. Even if he happens to say something I agree with, it doesn't matter because he doesn't mean any of it (how many issues has this joker done about-faces on over the past few years? I'm losing count), it's all an affectation to keep his name in the headlines and his face in front of a camera. Whatever his "views" and stated position are today, he'd gladly do a 180 degree turn on them if it meant more publicity and chances to preen in front of his reality show fans.

And if you vote Donnie, you still vote to empower a DNC funding Liberal based on a liberal’s promises. How stupid can one human be? As I said, Do not complain if you do it. You deserve what happens.

“Bangladeshis need that work about as much as anyone in the world. We ought to have the resources and commitment to do higher-skill jobs than that.”

Exactly, and I like the price of the shirts. I can get quality french cuff shirts for $20. But it makes Trump look like a hypocrite.

Trump over Jeb any day of the year.

Thankfully, in this Republican primary those aren't our only choices. We can vote for rational and electable conservatives, as opposed to having to choose between a (not so) crypto-liberal and a self-absorbed, opportunistic buffoon.

They want liberalism . Thats why they backed up their vote for Liberal Romney with support and votes for liberal Mitch/Jonbon. Now they double down with support for Liberal Trump the DNC contributor. No one running but Perry ever stooped that low.

These people arent stupid really. Just devoted liberals opposing conservatism as their voting shows clearly.

I don’t trust any politician 100%, but there are some who I can at least take seriously as plausible candidates and others that I can’t. As far as I’m concerned, a Donald Trump’s “candidacy” is about as worthy of serious consideration as if Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner or Kim Kardashian suddenly declared their candidacies for President.

I heard him this morning. He is a salesman and a deal maker - no doubt about it. I like (very much) what he said today. But I just don't trust him. So many times before he let me down.

One thing for sure, if he does become President, he will be most entertaining. Can u imagine how aggressive he will be?

I don't know, people change when they go to Washington. But he would be a change.
