Donald Trump is running for president. The multi-billionaire announced his presidential plans today from his namesake tower in New York City. Trump, 69, was introduced by his daughter Ivanka as he formally declared his 2016 intentions, descending down an escalator with wife Melania to speak to the gathered crowd. In his remarks he attacked the Obama administration on everything from immigration and terrorism to Obamacare and the job market as he promised to bring back the American dream. He also released his financial information, revealing a net worth of $8.7billion.
'We need somebody that literally will take this country and make it great again. We can do that,' said Trump. I will be the greatest jobs president God ever created 'Ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again.'
As for what he could do for the country, Trump said he would be the 'greatest jobs president God ever created.' He then added; 'The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before.'
As for Obamacare, Trump called the program a 'disaster.' 'ObamaCare must be repealed and replaced with something far superior and at far less cost,' he said in his remarks.
Trump also put much of the focus of his speech on the issue of immigration.
The fact is, the American Dream is dead - but if I win, I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before. 'It is way past time to build a massive wall to secure our southern border - and nobody can build a bigger and better wall than Donald Trump,' said Trump.

“After voting Republican for decades, it would be the first time I got anything for it!”
That is true.
“A lot of references to himself”
Have you EVER listened to a candidate who did not?
His donations to some of the Biggest leftists, including Hillary, his ‘evolving’ on gay marriage, his ties to Hollywood.. For starters.
I will call this the American Dream is dead speech.
My favorite speech in a while.
It is not really wise to get into lists of details when you announce for president.
Did you see Rush had a fit because nobody was answering the phone during Trumps speech...he wanted to hear...caught himself right then saying He’d not watched a political speech where he didn’t pick up the phone.
That was not his property.
“Thats why I am universally loved on FR. My non confrontational nature ;)”
Naah. It’s because you’re just a big ol teddy bear.....LOL,
That’s the playground they all play on Norm...just the way it is.
Unlike Cruz and Walker Trump is against Obamatrade. Unlike them Trump is on the right side there. Trump also seems to understand immigration some here.
“Dont trust him, but he TALKS a good game.”
That is all a candidate can offer when he runs for president. They all to do it. JEB! talks a lot about amnesty, for example.
I’m a truly tender soul... ;)
And the playground I play on doesn’t vote for people that give leftists money.
I cannot conceive how that alone does not make people turn their brains on for just a moment to consider what that means.
The United States use to have a garment industry. Moved out after free trade agreements.
Well we know he’s not against multiple bankruptcies.
You’ve got a hard road then in finding someone who hasn’t.
UK Daily mail site has the text of Trumps’ speech. Checked other sites that didn’t have it. Don’t think they wanted to have it. Wanted you to read their comments on the speech but not the speech. Think they didn’t want us to see it and hear it. The American Dream is Dead has a nice ring to it.
I am not aware of Cruz donating to leftists.
Oh so you are one of the 3 million republicans who sat home and let Barry have another 4 years to destroy America but you don’t want A successful guy who at least loves the country to be President? I get it now.
I still bet you voted for Willard. :-)
Especially when you don't have any.
