From how I understand genetics, geneticists can’t tell a person’s race just by looking at genes and chromosomes. So race ends up being more of a cultural construct than biology. But you can tell gender right away genetically. So if that is true, Rachel Dolezal can actually claim anything she wants, and she has a better case than Bruce Jenner does.

If we all descend from Eve (whose remains were found in Africa) one can argue that we are all black to some degree or another.

From what I understand of genetics, geneticists absolutely CAN tell what a person's racial lineage is by looking at genes and chromosomes.
