From how I understand genetics, geneticists can’t tell a person’s race just by looking at genes and chromosomes.

From what I understand of genetics, geneticists absolutely CAN tell what a person's racial lineage is by looking at genes and chromosomes.

I think the point is that many of us in the United States have a mixed racial genetic make-up, that can be detected by a DNA profile, but (almost) none of us has a mixed sexual genetic make up.
