Are you saying a woman who “steals” another woman’s husband can be financially liable to take care of the wife and children? That would explain the ruling. A prostitute isn’t “stealing” away the woman’s husband.

There was a time when some states had laws like that here.

Coupled with the absence of no fault divorce laws it was tough on philanderers who got caught. Of course, back in those noncomputerized days deadbeats could move across the country and take up a new identity.
