Ted Cruz was on with Jeff Kuhner this morning and answered some tough questions about why he supports the TPA/TPP agreements. One of the questions was specifically about what Jeff Sessions has been saying about the trade deal and Cruz blatantly said that what Sessions has been saying is not accurate. In short, he said that the US is not ceding any sovereignty to any transnational commission, that it has no power to bind the US with any law or agreement.
The interview is 24 minutes long and I urge you to listen to the whole thing. But if you want to skip ahead to the Q&A about Jeff Sessions take on this, it begins around 16:10.

Governors make foreign trade deals all the time. Most of the people don’t even know their governors are doing it, let alone what is in the deals.
People are cattle and are happy until something spooks the herd into a blind stampede.
We learned our lesson when the secret Obamacare bill was passed that no one had seen.
No secret legislation.
The difference is there are no restrictions on what can be put in federal legislation.
A bill talking about mandating the size of hotdog buns could have a provision buried in it sending us all to concentration camps. Or making all illegals legal.
I trust Cruz, but...if Obama wants this thing, it’s bad for America. And even if Obama’s mistaken and it’s not bad for America, we can do without it. We’ve done without it up to now. It’s not worth the risk.
I, too, trust Cruz...I DO NOT trust ANYTHING 0bola wants. I agree...why not wait...if it’s so great...until we have a Republican president, the House and possibly the Senate?

This is NOT how the American government is supposed to work.

Second, we do not favor any more free trade bills that export American jobs or import foreign workers, or allow either to occur.

You get yourself elected President and help remove all the saboutage regulations and executive orders Obama has implemented to kill off the American economy and jobs. THEN we can discuss the trade bill...THEN, not now.

Jeff Sessions is right on Target. The reason he is taking flak from the likes of a junior senator like Ted ‘Cannuck’ Cruz, is cruz wants to intimidate Sessions to remain quiet as Cruz is a fraud. Cruz wants more foreign workers to come in to work in the USA. Yes Cruz is a fraud look how he has to repeatedly defend himself and go after Senator Sessions and claim Sessions is wrong. Vote for Cruz and America loses.

I am fully capable of reading the document myself. I don’t need Obama or Cruz to make my decisions for me. If Cruz has the document, make it public.
It is secret because they are hiding the truth. This is going to be just like the Obamacare law. No one knew what was in it either...remember?
ANYONE that is complicit in this deception is a traitor to this country. How much of our sovereignty is Cruz willing to sacrifice in order to pass this treaty? I thought he was one of us..a true conservative and patriot.
Obama should have been impeached years ago. Instead, the Republicans are willing to give him fast track authority? Reallllllyyyy???? They are no better than he is and this has been a dog and pony show from the moment Obama took office.

Correct. This president is simply the most destructive influence in this nation’s history. Nothing he touches is free from his corruption. If TPA is such a good thing it can wait until he is gone. I do not trust him to polish my shoes much less create trade agreements for this nation. He simply does not deserve any opportunity to do anything more than play golf.
Cruz is starting to remind me of Obama when he kept going around saying if he could just explain Obamacare one more time we would all finally understand.
