I want to see it also.
exactly.I want to see the depth of the treason.
Please excuse me while I go to the men's room to vomit.
“You have to pass it, before you read what’s in it.”
You didn’t pass it, so you don’t get to read it - that was the deal...
Don’t you rember the new rule in DC? You have to pass it to see what’s in it.
TPA[pdf]
Probably every paragraph benefits one of the cronies financial supporters. Heck, the bill was probably written by their financial supporters.
That’s not going to happen. It will be back.
I don’t think you understand what was being voted on today.
Everything that was voted on today was public.
They want to bring it back for another vote on Tuesday.

Equally importantly, we need to have a list of the Republicans and how they voted published. And then we need to go to work to find primary opponents for each and every one of those who tried to give away our sovereignty here.
The other thing we ought to be raising a lot of hell about is this business of repealing country of origin labeling on the food we eat! Screw Mexico and Canada. We, as consumers have a right to know where our food is grown and harvested and under what specific conditions, because we all know the USFDA can’t find it’s a$$ with both hands and a flashlight as regards inspections to keep us safe.
Exactly!!!
What in the hell was in that piece of s***...?!?!?
The bills that were voted on today were published a month ago.
There are three different things in play, which can be confusing:
TPP - the actual trade deal in question, unfinished and classified. Not voted on today.
TPA - “fast track” trade agreement authorization to allow the Administration to negotiate the treaty without political hinderance form Capitol Hill. Final agreement (TPP) would still have to be approved by House & Senate, TPA just guarantees it a spot on the calendar. This was voted on today and passed by the House; however, the Senate version required passing both TPA and TAA.
TAA - long-time “trade protection” program that compensates entities who “lose” because of free trade agreements. Generally anti-conservative and more a sop to unions and corporate welfare than anything else. This was voted on and was rejected today by the House; essentially killed the Senate bill, the Senate must now take up TPA without TAA, or let the whole thing die.
Lots of similar acronyms, but with very important distinctions.
Exactly. I want to see it as well.
That was the Toilet Paper Act they voted down... the trade one will get passed around 3:00 AM Sunday morning when no one’s looking.
Wheres the bill? Asa a voter and taxpayer I want to read this declassified travesty. When done I will shove it up the backsides of many Republicans!
Yes indeed!
