Democrats did the right thing for the wrong reason. They wanted to protect the unions; they weren’t worried about the secret transnational governance and treaty issues. The GOP has no such excuse for being O’s primary supporters here.
This time I don’t care why they did it!
Geeze, Cruz could have been a hero.
He was at a crossroad.
Disappointing.
Isn't that always the case these days? I was thinking that for once I sided with the Dems, then I thought about it for a second, my objection to this is simply because it was secret, there is not too much credible information to oppose it or be for it. I wasn't siding with the Dems after all and feel better. The only people who should be cheering are those who oppose secret unread legislation, but the devil did them a favor today. One law I would like to see is a 5 question (per page of legislation) test that every congressman has to pass for each piece of legislation before voting on it. I would volunteer to head the department that makes up and administers the test. That would be great.
I’m shocked the unions still had the muscle to get this defeated.
It was a good test for them.
However, the damage this has caused the GOP is going to be permanent. The D’s voted with the Tea Party this time. That’s going to leave a mark.
So, for the record, there are Democrats, the other Democrats, and Conservatives. That’s now official.
Exactly. Their objection was based on the TAA amount and timeframe. So long as the slush fund and duration are sufficient length and depth, they’re fine with everything else. Nothing even closely related to principles involved here.
DOES NOT MATTER!
Democrats in a LANDSLIDE in 2016, taking both houses and POTUS>The stupid GOP bastard were determined to cede the Republic and that's what they did when they took this foolish gambit.
It was always "World Governance" or Democrats running the USA.
What was SOOOO valuable to these Republicans that they would cede the nation to chaos and rape?
