“It doesnt matter. The people with an agenda, dont care what you or Ted says. They know better about this bill than Cruz. And, amazingly, he is now the biggest traitor running....
These people need to get a grip. Cruz is still the best.”
I agree. I’ve been very confused about this whole issue but I’ve concluded that it’s good this thing is killed — for now. That said, Cruz and Walker were both in favor of this, and in my view there are no other declared and likely candidates worth supporting. So even though I’m not with him on this issue, I’m still wholeheartedly supporting Cruz until these naysayers show me a viable alternative.
Ted Cruz on Hugh Hewitt
HH: Lets take that opportunity, then, to go and talk about free trade. TPA, TPP, Export-Import Bank, Senator Cruz, for claritys sake, can you quickly give us an overview of where you are on those three issues as theres quite a lot of confusion among conservative voters as to where different people are and why on each of those three issues?
TC: Sure. There is a lot of confusion, and theres unfortunately a lot of misinformation that you can get on the internet, that people are confused. So lets explain what each of those three are. TPA is trade promotion authority. Thats also known as fast track. That is the process through which free trade agreements are negotiated. Historically since FDR, virtually every president has had fast track authority. What fast track provides is simply if a free trade agreement is negotiated, the Congress will vote on it up or down without amendment. And history has demonstrated for the last 80 years that the only way to get free trade agreements adopted is to have fast track, that if there is no fast track, free trade agreements do not end up being negotiated. TPA is what the Senate voted on recently. I voted in favor of fast track, because I support free trade. I think free trade benefits America, it creates jobs, opening markets to our farmers, to our ranchers, to our manufacturers, improves economic growth. In Texas alone, roughly three million jobs depend upon international trade. And if you support free trade, the only way history has shown free trade agreements get negotiated is with fast track. Now there is a second issue thats caused a great deal of confusion, and that is TPP.
HH: Trans-Pacific Partnership.
TC: Correct, and that is one specific trade deal that is currently being negotiated. It is separate from TPA. Congress has not voted on TPP. And theres a great deal of concern about TPP. Now I have not voted on TPP, and I havent decided if I will support it or not, because the negotiation isnt complete. And Im going to wait and review and see what the agreement is first before assessing if it would be beneficial or harmful.
HH: And you were against Export-Import, and I told people that, and we disagree on that. But I just wanted people to understand you were yes on TPA, undecided on TPP, no on Export-Import.
Yes. I am with you 100%. I view both of them a good guys to support...but lately, even Walker has gotten a bit wishy washy.
I wont’ agree with someone 100%. I didn’t agree with Reagan 100%. I also don’t consider Cruz a sellout or traitor. I choose to look at his whole career as opposed to what the trolls post.
Cruz has explained his positions in all important areas including, in detail, the TPA trade bill and the secret TPP bill. Regarding the TPP secret bill, he says it should not have been secret but it will be public for 60 days before they vote on it. That info. is at the approximate 55/56 minute point in his speech in New Hampshire on June 1, 2015..
I urge everyone to listen to his very long speech and answering audience questions. You will know exactly where he stands on every important issue. Here is the link:

Be an informed voter and listen to what Cruz actually says instead of believing whatever someone else says about his position on important issues.
