WACO, Texas (NBC) We are getting a new perspective about what happened the day rival biker gangs shot each other at a Twin Peaks in Waco.
Me and my other friend had been inside, and we got something to drink, and we came and sat down, and we were looking at menus, and then it happened, said Kevin Rash. I mean that quickly, and we scurried inside and started getting employees into the coolers and stuff.
Rash just got out of jail and is now talking about what he saw that day in Waco. Rash was inside the Twin Peaks restaurant where an argument first started before the shooting moved to the parking lot. Last week, prosecutors described videos of the shooting where members of the Cossacks lined up on the Twin Peaks patio waiting for trouble. Rash says thats not how it went down.
There was a few guys hanging out there, but it wasnt like anybody was lined up waiting for anything, he said.
Rash says the only lineup was the people who were arrested. Hes one of the 170 taken to jail that day. Rash is a member of the Bogateers, a support club for the Cossacks motorcycle gang involved in the shooting.
The point isn’t the “hurt” or the “stupid” but the bigger picture it illustrates.
An Andy Griffith like “Ah! Caught you, you thief” sans dramatic beatdown isn’t seen very often any more.
It was and it did.
What should matter to all of us is the God-given rights of all, and the fulfillment of the sworn duties of those who have taken the oath.
It’s not unreasonable to question whether the rights to life and liberty and due process of these bikers have been protected, and whether law enforcement personnel and the courts have themselves become an outlaw gang in this case.
And I am not even close to being a kneejerk cop-basher.
Because they are under attack in Waco.
Seems like critical thinking is a lost skill on FR. Just because I question the actions of one party does not mean I am supporting another party. What worries me is the number of FReepers that have no problem with what happened even to the point of relishing it.
So, basically, if you support the constitution, you have to support drug-dealing criminal gangs. And if you don't support drug-dealing criminal gangs, then you don't support the constitution.
It seems to be a situation that has devolved from a Judeo-Christian concept of the divine as an ideal, to some kind of worldly pragmatic tribalism. The US constitution is a useful go-between here, but as it says nothing explicit about God, we ought to be careful not to let unbelieving sleight of hand with it mislead us.
So the question arises, “Why would you want to do anything for those crooks?” Well, it amounts to yielding to God’s sometimes odd sounding plan. Odd sounding because we are often still cowed by the world.
And often yesterday’s crooks can turn out to be tomorrow’s heroes as circumstances realign. God is not one to hastily reject a resource that can be turned to the good.
Did you really think that through before you posted it?
As a society we already do support them, through what we know as due process, which is why the narrow minded so often and frequently and constantly assail it.
>>> Video at source includes previously scheduled biker event going on tonight. Riding to State Capitol for some sort of celebration. <<<
That would be the Republic of Texas (ROT) rally, a weekend event in Austin.
I won’t be attending: I’ve seen Harleys, drunks and insufficiently dressed overweight women before.
To those who deal in hammers, everything looks like a nail — surprised?
“So, basically, if you support the constitution, you have to support drug-dealing criminal gangs. And if you don’t support drug-dealing criminal gangs, then you don’t support the constitution.”
NO, when you support the Constitution, you support an open justice system that treats everyone the same. How you are treated legally has nothing to do with who you are or what you do. Nazi Germany went around killing people from groups the government “didn’t like.” So too in Wacko, it appears quite likely their “justice system” did the same thing, and the longer they try to develop a coverup, the worse it’s going to be when the truth finally comes out. This is beyond being capable of being swept under the rug.
Ah, I see. If you support the constitution, you will LIKE drug-dealing criminal gangs. And if you DO NOT LIKE drug-dealing criminal gangs, then you you do not support the constitution, and you are a Nazi too.
Yes they are, agree ...the thread was about “this biker who belongs to a cossacks support group” making a statement...... I don’t believe him.
Yes there were many innocent folks rights trampled on and I think the Whacko LEO’s could have handled it better .....they will pay for their errors eventually imho...
My goodness. We are into 101 level (or maybe pre-school) discussions on liberty and the Founding Principles here on Free Republic, of ALL places.
Lord, give me patience.
I did just that on my Yamaha. They all gassed it to chase me down. Very funny. Objects in mirror get small very quickly.
Usually nothing ... usually

What do you not believe and why not?
Yes there were many innocent folks rights trampled on and I think the Whacko LEOs could have handled it better
You do understand that innocence or guilt is not even in play here, don't you? Gotta keep the horse and cart correctly lined up.
” You do understand that innocence or guilt is not even in play here”
?? explain that for me please , the biker making the statement or event itself ?
