Housing regulations aimed at diversifying wealthy neighborhoods, which some are calling executive overreach for the purpose of establishing a utopia, are expected to be released by the Obama administration this month.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will release the rules with the aim of ending segregation in neighborhoods around the country, The Hill is reporting.
HUD plans to offer grant money to communities willing to build affordable housing within affluent neighborhoods. On the flip side, the federal agency will also give money to poorer neighborhoods to improve those communities through better schools, parks, libraries and grocery stores.
"HUD is working with communities across the country to fulfill the promise of equal opportunity for all," a HUD spokeswoman told The Hill. "The proposed policy seeks to break down barriers to access to opportunity in communities supported by HUD funds."
The regulations are a continuation of a rule made by the Obama administration in 2013, in which HUD started gathering data about diversity in neighborhoods around the country for the purpose of making such policy changes.

Same thing Clinton did. Took years to clean that up.
Absolutely. Because their premise of "greater opportunity" is false - there is no opportunity in the burbs - that's why everyone drives to jobs an hour or more away.
The amount of infrastructure that would be needed to be created to "achieve" the published goals is crazy.
Then again, perhaps THAT is the goal, more government and more government control with a side of taking down conservative strongholds.
I'd like to see what cities and towns are being eyed up...
O knows that. It's another form of payback, and another form of redistribution.
I live in Memphis which is 78 percent black. Do I get cash or vouchers for being white and offering neighborhood diversity?
Just moving the mobs to riot and burn to more forward positions in his war on America.
Infiltration. Reversing it will take a massive racial strife and resegregation. It’s not good for either whites or nonwhites. The only reason to push it is to weaken the US relative to fo re in powers...or religions. I guess he’s thinking how great it is w hen a plan comes together.
Fundamentally transforming America right on track....
Which is exactly the point. BO wants you to suffer the way he sees "black" people suffering. He does not think it is their own choices that affect their lives; he thinks it is rampant racism.
Has anyone done the math as to white a racially balanced neighbor hood looks like when accounting for the makeup and distribution of population, race, income, and more importantly preferences?
I work with several races and they all insist that they wish to live in a diversified community. So when I asked one coworker if they were fine being the only black family on my street they said no. But 1/10 while not the exact percentage of the black population is within a normal statistical distribution. She thought at least one more family if not two would be about right.
If that can be extrapolated, that most ethnics groups prefer at least some “company” then racial balance cannot be achieved.
Utopia is Greek for “ no place”.
And the reason for the demise of so many shopping malls.
Yes, I agree, low income housing in the Hollywood hills should be on the list too.

That's what the feds spent on pre-racewar Baltimore.
There are some surprisingly expensive HUD home foreclosures at hudhomestore.com.
Thanks.
Martha's Vinyard works for me... Hell, Beverly Hills works too... How about next door to Bill and Hillary Clinton?
