Ridiculous Drudge headline. Ryan is saying that the text will be released when the negotiations with the other 11 countries are concluded. Congress, and the public, will then have at least 60 days to review and debate before the vote.

Yes. I just saw Paul Ryan on Fox.

Paul Ryan on FOX News: Voting on the process NOT the agreement. There is not an agreement totally drawn up yet. They will do that in fall AFTER they all see it. He said don’t believe what you read on internet. I give benefit of doubt first to Ryan. Facts are getting so convoluted, especially on line, these days.

I hope this is over reaction from Drudge et al. Wouldn’t be first time.

"Ryan is saying that the text will be released when the negotiations with the other 11 countries are concluded. "

There's a common text in circulation in 12 countries. Substantial "negotiation" has occurred.

It's time to let the American people see those texts so they can determine if they want this "agreement": to move forward on Fast Track, or whether they want to require a 2/3 Senate majority to effect a formal, international treaty.

Of course the counter argument is that we should trust Congress and POTUS to do the right thing.

Which side of that argument are you on?

In other words, Ryan wants to vote to pass a secret bill that is not yet written. How is that logical? Mark Levin was discussing this yesterday; it is a hydra-headed monstrosity.

“..will then have at least 60 days to review and debate before the vote.” We have heard such language before - and it was not true - ever.

What is the consequence if they do not make it public for 60 days? Answer: none

Remember when the Democrats, then the Republicans promised to post all bills on the internet for 5 days before debating/voting?

This is as worthless a promise as that.....and you are falling for it, just as they hope.

It’s a review only - It’s an up-down vote with no ability to offer Amendments or changes. So much for due process on three massive trade agreements which give away our capability to act as a sovereign, multi-branch democratic republic.

Here's the problem with that. What the "fast track" authority does is set the ground rules for the debate. It essentially means that once the treaty is actually submitted, it must face and up/down vote, and can't be amended. That is what is really being voted on, not the treaty itself (at this time).

I do not believe  any treaty negotiated under "fast track" has ever been defeated. Could be wrong about that, but I don't think so.

The bottom line is that I do not trust the current marxists in office to negotiate a treaty that is in our best interest. Given the proximity of the U.S national elections, it should wait until after the elections and the next congress is seated.

THERE WILL BE NO AMENDMENTS!!! Don’t you see the cram down and the abrogation of the legislative process driven by payoffs?
