LOL!
“”What next for a crisis?””
This is it! Has this witch ever come out and blasted the ones who burned down local stores a month or so ago? People from the neighborhood walked to those stores for medicines and other supplies. I guess she pleads ignorance of that! How many arrests were made for the ones who showed up on cameras looting those stores?
No stores with 0.25 miles, they have no car, and won’t walk or ride a bus... How about an armored car grocery delivery business. The catch is that instead of the EBT card users choosing their own groceries, an EBT account is created at the store for each of them and 70% of the EBT funds are automatically used towards predetermined “healthy” foods that will sustain them for enough time until the EBT account is reloaded. The other 30% goes towards the armored car delivery service... Of course finding delivery drivers might be a challenge.
Heh, I thought we always added another “F” at the end...which made the end ...”flying f###”.
fast, neat, average......
A guy is transferred to Detroit, and on one of his first trips there he sits next to a guy and tells him he's worried about crime and violence, but it's such a good job he doesn't want to turn it down. The guy says not to worry. He lives in Detroit, and while there are bad areas, you can find nice housing in relatively safe neighborhoods, send your kids to a good private school, etc. The new guy starts to relax thinking it isn't as bad as he's hears. Just as they're getting off the plane, the new guy asks the older Detroit resident what he does for a living. The answer is door gunner on a budwiser delivery truck
Living in the Black Hills of So. Dak. It takes me 20 minutes to drive to the nearest store. No problem. I love living in a “food desert”.
Built my house 15 years ago in a gated area and now I have a Wal-Mart grocery store .25 miles away.
A quarter of a mile and they are complaining? From the looks of the fat a$$e$ on most of these EBT rats a half mile walk every couple of days to get free food would do them some good.
Free Chickens and Watermelon for everyone!!!
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake needs to resign, NOW.
What I find hilarious is that what you say is probably true.
They can still plant vegetable gardens in their hoods, but they got to steal the seeds.
Baltimore is a dead city and they can eat worms for all I care.
This is terribly sad news. Perhaps they should have a government program that delivers the food to their homes every day.
Motivated to Work Privilege!!!
Well darn. Maybe they can have a service deliver what the kids toss from moochelle’s lunches to local homes cause unless the government wants to get into the business of running grocery stores, I would say that they are not coming back.
My wife works for Wal-Mart, traveling all over the country, supervising the opening of new stores. A few years back, they were opening a new one in Gainesville, Texas. I wrote to an F.R. friend, telling her about it because I knew she lived in that general area. She said Hoorah, we are finally getting a Wal-Mart!
I went to stay with my wife for a few weeks, I called my friend who invited us to visit her. She lived 35 mmiles from there but acted as if 35 miles was just a hop, skip and a jump for her to go to a store.
Based solely upon my observations at the grocery store, I’ve never seen anybody purchase fruits or vegetables with an EBT card. Plenty of soda, chips, candy, beer, wine, and other such crap. You know, all the things generally considered by intelligent people to be healthy.
Now if I was a supermarket owner, would I want to take a chance to have Animals looting and burning my supermarket in the inner city? Sorry, I wouldn’t. A supermarket business is not in business to lose money. It is a bad business to be in.
Yup. It’s very obvious that the people who developed these parameters have never lived anywhere but in a city. It’s .25 mile to my gate. 22 miles to a grocery store. And, as do you, I LOVE it. Those is my area who are unhappy with the “food desert” raise and slaughter (oh, sorry, “harvest”) their own meat and grow their own vegetables. In addition to reducing the drive time, this substantially reduces the cost. And, it’s great exercise!
So what’s stopping one of them from opening a grocery store? Afraid of getting looted?
