The federal government is strongly urging employers to give transgender employees access to bathrooms that correspond to their gender identity, marking a new policy front in the fast-moving campaign for transgender equality.
In a four-page Guide to Restroom Access for Transgender Workers, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration advises employers on “Best Practices” concerning restroom access for these employees: “… It is essential for employees to be able to work in a manner consistent with how they live the rest of their daily lives, based on their gender identity,” the guide says.
“Restricting employees to using only restrooms that are not consistent with their gender identity, or segregating them from other workers by requiring them to use gender-neutral or other specific restrooms, singles those employees out and may make them fear for their physical safety,” OSHA, an arm of the Labor Department wrote, posting the guide on its Web site last week.
In some workplaces, “questions can arise… about which facilities certain employees can use,” OSHA said, then explained that someone’s “internal gender identity” may be different from the sex they were assigned at birth. “A person who identifies as a man should be permitted to use men’s bathrooms, and a person who identifies as a woman should be permitted to use women’s restrooms.”

The same liberal progressives pushing that they are whatever gender they “identify” with are the same ones who tell every Christian about evolution demanding we adhere to “science” as well as to the masses that the “Science is settled” when in the case of transgender were not allowed to discuss it.
The yare enabling confusion and a lot of pain and it is abuse of the highest order.
Fair Warning- if I ever catch a male freak who ‘identifies as a female’ in a restroom with my daughters, they will resemble an actual female before I am done with them.

PS, I am in no way making light of mental illness. In fact, it makes me terribly angry that people with an evil agenda no longer treat this as a serious mental disorder, which it most certainly is.
If I were a guy then when it comes to Jenner I’d be more perturbed if it walked into the mens room dressed like a woman.
Prior to Nazi Germany, the Germans were relatively normal. In a couple years time they went stark raving mad and reversed most of what thy were as a people.

A few years ago, my young disabled daughter & I bumped into HIM in the Ladies’ restroom of a local restaurant.
Whatever pre-conceived notions people have about the mentally-disabled, they aren’t dumb - my daughter gave HIM & the entire dining room a VERY vocal lecture on what was wrong wrong wrong about what she’d just witnessed.
To your point....the 1920’s were filled with freewheeling fun until 1929. And we all know what happened then.

The solution is a requirement for one-person, unisex bathrooms in public.
Otherwise, the “rights” of transgender people clearly infringe on the rights of normal people to prevent interaction with them in the most sensitive arenas - like the bathroom.

Aside from its absurdity, the cost for this “guidance” will grow and grow over time with regular monitoring and reporting activities, and even more “revised” guidance. That’s just how it is with all government programs. Once something starts, its takes on a life of its own. Taxpayers will be spending millions on this in short order.
Don’t expect the GOP congress to de-fund this nonsense. In fact, don’t expect the GOP congress to do anything about anything.

We are watching America disintegrate daily. The lack of civility, the respect for law and outright claiming of rights afforded to only a few people are destroying this country.
They say it is the lack of opportunities that are creating the problem. I think it is the people that refuse to take advantage of the opportunities given to them by this country that is causing the problem. Wallowing in victim hood and waiting for the government to take care of them while they are held in the liberal plantations until needed for the next election is the problem.
