Within hours, millions watch the video: Some see a defenseless black teen being manhandled by an out-of-control white cop; others see a lone, scared officer in the crowded, chaotic aftermath of a fight he doesn’t yet understand.
Cellphone video has become as much a part of policing as tickets and handcuffs. Video images of police shootings have sparked national turmoil. But Friday’s ugly, cacophonous scene in McKinney, Tex., at first seemed like something more routine — a call about misbehaving teens at a pool party on a hot Texas afternoon.

FOR ALL YOU KNOW, if the officer had not STOPPED the girl (who was ranting and challenging the cop, and advancing on him), she might have convinced the group of 'yutes' to gang up on the cop, who might have then HAD to use his weapons to defend himself, resulting in some deaths.
BE CAREFUL what you 'wish' for.
I have no-read absolutely no-idea why people think an 0bama stasi would NOT BE HORRID to people. Ruthless. People would disappear, like in Argentina a few decades ago. After all, they already do.

The link in post #58 has the VIDEO of the initial fight between the DJ (who goes by YOUNG KC on TWITTER) and a RESIDENT of the complex who was complaining about the OBSCENE RAP MUSIC that the DJ had been playing ENDLESSLY.

Well, you’ve put your finger on the question that the department is surely asking him this week. It’ll be interesting to see if they throw him under the bus, or not.
There’s no question that every action taken by the officer in the video is lawful, so it’s going to come down to “did he violate policy somehow”. And it’s always possible to show a policy violation, if that’s what the department wants to show, even if it’s nothing more than putting oneself in a poor tactical situation.
One thing we’re seeing with this incident, as with Ferguson, is the media viewing a small suburban department through the lens of big-city policing. A larger department would have probably deployed an airship to get a view of the situation before rolling the officers in all at once, along with a tactical plan to disperse the crowd before even making contact. Smaller departments have to make do with the resources available though.
I do find it fascinating that even on FR, there is so much uncritical acceptance of the MSM narrative.

I am not sure if I see anything the officer did that was UNLAWFUL for him to do, my only beef is the way he did it.
He lacks the skills to control himself in this situation.
OK maybe you are not understanding the concept of riot control and techniques to de-escalate a situation.
She might have done that- there are techniques to stop ringleaders in a riot situation.
That is one of the steps- AFTER to make sure you do not escalate the situation yourself, you try to identify the ringleaders who ARE escalating things, and you remove them
Crowd mentality is a very complex thing. If you remove the ringleaders, the riot usually dies.
Now just a minute...you’ve been to how many large/unruly party calls? And they always go just fine, with everyone dispersing when politely asked to leave? You’ve never had to raise your voice? You’ve never had to overcome resistance to take someone into custody? Seriously, you’re some kind of super-cop FRiend.

Just throwing this out there since there has been so much publicity regarding the police and youths pushing back, mostly with a sympathetic ear to the youths. There were the Hitler youths, there were also the Mao youths. Both instances with not good results. Any ideas as to if this is being promoted from on high?

The officer did. He subdued her and placed her under arrest. The 'riot' quickly subsided.

Actually it's not. It's a very simple and mindless thing. So simple that (as you said) removing the ringleader usually brings things to a halt.
BTW, in the search for the truth, I have found that some of my ‘info’ was incorrect. (karma got me)
The female that got into the fight was the PROMOTER of the ‘party’ and the DJ was actually a guy.
Also I understand that the officer in question has resigned from the police force.
Catch is: he was their supervisor. And the only one running around screaming, cussing, and asserting authoritah.

You are clearly not seeing this the same way anyone with a brain does.
The officer was OUT OF CONTROL and HE WAS ESCALATING the situation, every place he went.
He was the only officer running back and forth screaming and swearing. Why I would accept the argument that he did nothing UNLAWFUL, I can see and hear from the video the screams and panic every place he runs.
Am I somehow not making this clear? He ESCALATED the situation through his actions. He clearly did not calm things down in any way.
He ran over to a group of kids and started attacking a teenage girl. This incited the group around her to try to move in to protect her. If I was there I would have start yelling at the officer to calm down.
