A police officer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area has been suspended after video footage emerged that shows him wrestle a bikini-clad girl to the ground and then point his gun at a group of unarmed teenagers.
The incident happened after McKinney Police Department received several calls on Friday night about a disturbance near the Craig Ranch North Community Pool.
Cell phone footage of the incident shows one officer arrive at the scene and start overreacting in a manner that does little to defuse the situation.

OP was falsely countering someone else’s observation that the kids were backing away.
And it’s not the same thing. The kids probably saw their friend on the ground with a policeman over her when they approached. As soon as he turned on them, they backed away as quickly as they could. They were unarmed and there was no reason to pull a gun on them.
I see a bunch of arrogant, entitled punks trespassing on other people’s property and resisting the lawful orders of the police to disperse.
I see evidence of horrendous parenting, and a sick MSM that glorifies the stupidities of “hip hop” “culture”.
I see a bunch of posters on FR whose comments are indistinguishable from those on DU, the Huffington Post, and Global Grind.
What I don’t see is excessive force or any of the other stuff you have so passionately described.
Strange days indeed.
“What I dont see is excessive force or any of the other stuff you have so passionately described.”
Then I’m sure the cop nor the city has anything to worry about.
Oh and what Hip Hop culture. They were all wearing swimsuits or shorts and Tees. I didn’t see ant gang colors, and there was no report of any weapons no property damage to speak of or they would have been charged. But I think I know what you meant.
Go back and read what you wrote in 186, Nancy.
Now you're worried about going personal??
Bless your heart.
Wait. Are you the 4'11" copper?
I did not see the cop running around shouting anything, perhaps we saw two different videos. At 13, I knew that if I got into trouble with a police officer, my dad would have spanked the hell out of me. A teenager should know better than to provoke a police officer.
some of the worst behaving cops have a napoleon complex.
the video indicates in my opinion that this cop has napoleonic complex in spades.
one would think that they would screen cop candidates psychologically for napoleonic complex and disallow them. however there are enough cops out there with napoleonic complex and other psycho issues (eg spousal abuse) that leads me to believe that other cop candidates that do get screened out are even worse.
The cop is suspended, and will be fired. He broke McKinney police policy, they can fire him for something as minor as conduct unbecoming.
(I’m a McKinney resident and former police officer)
“The cop is suspended, and will be fired. He broke McKinney police policy, they can fire him for something as minor as conduct unbecoming.

I’m not disparaging all cops.
I thought the other two cops in the video handled the situation about right.
No kidding! What kind of a moron goes fighting with a teenie bopper with one hand and a gun in the other! can you imagine the non-stop rioting they would have gotten if the moron had decided to shoot someone or that his gun had gone off in the melee and killed a bystander? DFW will be paying out a big chunk of loot for this idiot's “performance.” Another cop with a size 4 hat and size 44 uniform. There is some real training lacking here, or they’ve decided that armed force is the first option in the bag.
More info here:
“....Another McKinney resident, Bryan Gestner, posted on Facebook, This was a Twitter party that turned into a mob event. Jumping pool fence. Assaulting 2 security guards, attacking a mother with three little girls. The video doesnt show everything. He continued saying the kids were drinking and smoking weed and they would not listen to any of the adults around the pool.
This isnt about race, he continued. This is about outside kids invading our neighborhood and had no respect for authority or the residents here. I have a target on my back now and I have been threatened by these punks that they are gonna shoot up my house when all I did was try to control the mob and actually tended to the girl and the boy that had a bloody lip.
Yall dont know the whole story, Gestner continued. I commend the officer for handling this situation.
Gestner wrapped up his post alleging that these same kids came back into the neighborhood Saturday night. They were kicking in peoples front door, stole a truck and crashed it into many vehicles. They vandalized dozens of cars and were stealing things. ...”
“Everyone here would be fine with the cop acting like that if that herd was in their yard, or their pool, or on their property.”
So the next time an undesirable person comes on my property, I should just bring out my handgun and threaten them with it. I don’t know what they call it where you live, but here where I am, it’s called “brandishing” and it’s a felony! Cops are entrusted with the ability to have and to use deadly weapons when they are absolutely necessary. I would find it hard to believe that as chaotic as this situation was, that pulling a weapon was an act necessary to taking control of the situation. The fact that that’s what this jerk did, says to me that he needs to find another line of work. No one was threatening him, they were just a pack of insolent Blacks which is nothing new in our society today. The McKinney PD better relieve themselves of this guy or he will kill someone in the future.
Agree. I would sure like to know what happened BEFORE the video began rolling.
btw, McKinney is growing by leaps and bounds. Used to be a small town where you couldn’t go anywhere without running into someone you knew. Not so much anymore. The small bedroom community that people appreciated is now a large “diverse” city. (voted Best Place To Live in the U.S.) Neighborhoods go up with record speed as it grows and along with this growth comes a wealth of undesirables.
you are correct, lots more to this story.
Hope yo go for melanin enhanced chicks. Do nothing for me, FWIW.
My primary concern is the cop seriously over reacted.

The residents at the pool’s community are saying the cop did good:

Left media is ablaze with articles condemning the police response to a pool party at a McKinney, Texas, subdivision. Now a video is emerging showing why police were called to the scene to begin with violence....

My wife is melanin enhanced. She refuses to go near crowds of other melanin enhanced people knowing full well the dangers. She doesn’t listen to that rap hop sh** either. She’s an individual who sees that our constitution provides her the freedom to make take risks to achieve and that success is not guaranteed. Other black people are wary of her.

Wow. I didn’t find anything about any of that when I did a general search.
I did find this though.
Your clown post of "Local law enforcement goes back to the 1600's" doesn't address the REAL history of law enforcement in the United States in the slightest.
Straw man.

Yes, your anecdotal evidence proves that there aren't "polices everywhere" - despite the polices on boats, fourwheelers, snowmobiles and in four different flavors.
May your chains sit lightly.
