I agree. It's clear that people made mistakes -- who among us hasn't? And these were serious mistakes, no one denies that. But this incident cannot even be discussed by people now. It is practically mandatory to panic and heap scorn on all things Duggar. To do anything less is to open oneself up to charges that you secretly support vicious child rapists of all kinds.
I see this largely driven by anti-Christian zealots. Which is not to say that the Duggars didn't made serious mistakes.

Doesn't matter. They maybe Christians, but they have put their life on TV for everyone and anyone. When you display your life on TV for profit (Celebrates, pastors, popes, politicians, sports figures etc) every detail of it is subject to scrutiny and criticism.
The Duggar case never made it into the juvenile court system, or any court system, for that matter. The alleged crimes occurred in 2002 and 2003, but the police investigation did not occur until 2006. By that time, Josh Duggar was already an adult at age 18, so the state code covering the confidentiality of juvenile records would not apply to this case, legal experts have said.

I agree.I have seen it on this forum.
People so caught up in the hysterics, if you so much as hint, that you don't want Josh Duggar executed, you get accused of condoning what Josh did and being against the victims.
Alinsky RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

To do anything less is to open oneself up to charges that you secretly support vicious child rapists of all kinds. You mean like Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein? That kind of vicious child abuser?
Or maybe you mean the kind that Leena Dunham is.
