Also, I know for a fact that in .38s, at least, a skilled single-action shooter who slips the hammer properly, can fire at a rate faster than a semi-auto. Just the same, I wouldn't expect most folks to know that, only single-action shooters who are into it. You'd think that would be intuitive. In a semi-auto, the bolt/slide has to travel twice the length of a round before it's read to fire again. In a revolver, the cylinder only has to rotate a little more than the diameter of a round (at the center of the cartridge bores) before it's ready to fire again.
