It started innocently enough, when there was a curious sighting after the Dodgers lost to the Cardinals on Thursday night at Dodger Stadium -- a skunk, roaming around on the warning track, just minding his own business....
When the Cardinals took the field for pregame warmup, they were greeted with not one, not two, but a family of four skunks, all stuck under one of the photography wells in the visiting dugout.

Mrs. RQSR; “Oh Dear!”
I can imagine those skunks feasting on peanuts and hot dog chunks after the lights go out and the stadium is cleared. Probably a decent supply of food even after the cleaning crew is done. I’m surprised none of these skunks squirted.. If they had, you can bet the dugout would be empty! Like today’s sport figures, even skunks have it cozy and have become WIMPS, it seems.
The tigers are interested in a trade for their bullpen
(That's why the skunks have been planted in the visitors dugout...just waitin' for the Giants to come to town, no doubt, so that "he sprayed it to the outfield" takes on a new meaning)
I’ll tell ya who stinks.. DODGER MANAGEMENT for restricting television viewing of their games to Time Warner subscribers. They’ve gotten so money hungry over their stupid cable contract due to exorbitant player salaries. What they don’t realize is they’re LOSING fans because we are unable to watch the Dodgers on television!
Odd, the same thing happened to the White House a few years ago ...
When ya pave over millions of acres in some regions, the little animals have few choices on where to live.
aaww shit, they didn’t make it to the White House....
OHHH I forgot....we have two there already....
I saw the most amazing thing back in upstate NY a few years back.
Was sittin on my moms porch watching the lightning bugs when out from under a lilac bush strolls a BABY skunk!
Too cute! Just too cute!
It noticed me and right away stomped at me then turned around just like it was gonna give me the business... but I think it was still unpracticed enough.
So I just chuckled and it scooted away.
I’ll probably remember that skunk till the day I die...
Wouldn’t be a bit surprised to learn Lasorda put them there.
Got that right...
But, hey, Dodger management gets all that extra $ every year from 3 or 4-day Jehovah's Witnesses district conventions....
I think they still do it...I know it was year in year out from 60s to 90s...would charge the JWs $30,000 per day.
My thought is less Dodger fans, the better...so keep 'em off TV...
One morning after I stepped outside the door to go to work when I saw something messing with the bag of garbage. On closer inspection I saw it was a skunk. Fortunately, it did not spray. I never put my garbage outside again.
