WNBA star Brittney Griner said she has filed for an annulment of her marriage to Glory Johnson, a day after Johnson, who also plays in the WNBA, announced she was pregnant. Their marriage lasted 29 days.
“Last Wednesday, Glory and I agreed to either legally separate, get divorced, or annul our marriage,” Griner said in a statement Friday (via ESPN). “I can confirm that today I filed for an annulment.”
Griner called the marriage a “mistake” and added that during the week leading up to the May 8 wedding, she attempted to postpone the wedding “several times” while she sought counseling.

Gay marriage will be great for the economy. It creates lots of commerce, first for the expensive and frivolous wedding parties, than for the divorce costs. If I’d known that gay marriage would happen, I would have become a divorce lawyer.
Maybe there’ll be some hope for the poor kid after all.
