So much has happened since the Boys (of the Greatest Generation) sacrificed their lives 71 years ago today on the Beaches, the Drop Zones and in the Air above France. A lot of the brave Soldiers/Airmen/Sailors that I have known or briefly met in my life are gone or are reaching their twilight of life and will soon be rejoining their comrades in arms.
I just want to say again as I have always done growing up....Thank You for your Sacrifice of keeping Myself, my Family (by Blood or Marriage) and Friends...FREE!!
I pray to God that the United States of America is still around in the Future for my Children(s) - Children(s), Children. May they know the Joy of Freedom both through Worship, Work, Play & that you may have to Fight (and Die) for that Freedom and most importantly never take for Granted what it means to be an American!
