Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar built their custom home with a number of measures that physically separate their sons - including molester Josh - from their daughters, Daily Mail Online can reveal.
The couple, who have 19 children, moved into the sprawling 7,000-square-foot house they designed and helped to build in January 2006 - four years after their eldest son confessed to his sordid actions.
Strikingly, they built their daughters' shared bedroom at the opposite end of their home's second floor to their sons' room - with their master bedroom situated right in front of the girls' one, 'blocking' it.
It means that their sons - including Josh, before he moved out - have to walk past their parents' bedroom if they wish to access their sisters' room. They also have to walk past Michelle's office.
And the girls' and boys' rooms are not only located at polar ends of the second floor - they are also separated by a catwalk that stretches across the family's double-height living room and kitchen.

I always thought that the Duggar family was a bit extreme, with their rules on “courting”? C’mon, this is 21st Century.
You are so right. The reason they will grow and be strong is their walk with Jesus Christ.
This is something the World will not know because they are blind to it. Unless someone of the world receives Christ as their Lord and Savior then their eyes are opened.

Funny how the World judges the Christian and yet passes on their own sins. Jesus Christ did say they will HATE Christians because of His Name.

I don’t know. Ask a victim who hasn’t been raised in a cult. Those girls have no choice except to say what they have been taught to say and ignore what they have been taught to ignore.
They understood what was happening to them was icky and it was wrong. And they probably also believed it was their own fault. Even if they didn’t understand that they were being sexually molested they knew it wasn’t the way things were supposed to be. And they suffered for it. And they are still suffering for it.
Unfortunately their parents follow a cult leader who doesn’t think very much of women except as baby/sex machines for men and two of them will be paraded in front of the media on Friday to help re-habilitate their molesting brother and keep the family honey money going.
And really, isn’t that what it is all about? Otherwise why go on television and keep talking about it? If this is just between them and God why do that to your daughters?
I think most of us would be happy if they just went away and took care of their problems. Privately.

As far as I know, these men do walk the talk. You may not agree with every point of doctrine they hold, but they seem to humbly serve the Lord. Vodie Baucham is a superstar in certain circles who turned down the opportunity for fame (a career in the NFL) early in life. I believe he recently moved his ministry to Africa, yet again pulling away from the limelight.
As vilified by the media as Dr. Dobson was, he never gave them an actual scandal to report. Franklin Graham seems to have taken his father’s advice about guarding against any opportunity for impropriety to heart and is even bolder for the Lord. Kevin Swanson has a church and an internet radio show so is relatively unknown, but seems to be committed to honoring the Lord fully.
It seems that those who very publicly pushed God’s agenda, rather than publicly worshipping and praising Him (Duggars, Doug Philips, Bill Gothards) had very public downfalls. Pride can lead us to forget that without God we can fall into sin. None of us are righteous in our own strength.

From the little I’ve gathered...they’ve published books...they have the show....he’s run for various councils etc. ...real-estate business and investment properties...the list goes on.
The same media that overlooks Bill Clinton’s dealings with a convicted pedophile who flew him to some island where supposedly they had se parties with minors. The media is so corrupt. I think this looks like a very decent family that had to deal with a difficult problem. They had the courage to come clean and expose themselves to all this hate.
What amazes me is that the same media that wants to hang their son, doe not go into how corrupt the police is or that the detective investigating the son was later convicted of child pornography. These are the authorities who violated their children’s privacy by releasing the sealed records to the tabloids. It seems the system that is tasked with fixing the problem is so corrupt that it would not have helped the son at all. Maybe that is why they were very careful on how they handled this situation.

Results from studies of molestation and incest show that sexualized activity, which need not to include what you call “sex” (it’s not sex if one is too young to know how to repel an older brother ), isn’t required - just being treated in a sexualized manner is damaging or watching inappropriate films etc., even molesting hands inappropriately placed on the outside of clothing can be very damaging to young children; they They are not equipped to understand what is happening and what to do etc. and it’s worse that these are family members because from a very young age the girls were molested in their own home by their own “loving” family member so their own home and “love” even from family is not safe.
There has only been one perfect person and that was Jesus Christ the son of GOD. The World killed him.

Josh Dugger is a molester. Once a person commits these crimes, he should be put away for life. There is no reforming them.
Jim Bob and Michelle should be put in jail for covering it up, not reporting it to the police and leaving the other children exposed to be molested, too.

The parents sought help for their son. They took what they deemed to be prudent measures to insure it didn’t happen again.
The parents reported this to the police (some say very late).
Josh Dugger has not denied or hidden what he did. OF Course, he didn’t parade it around in public.
He told his fiancé about it before the were married.
Both “sides” of those facts are essentially correct. Perspective and motive determine to a great degree which side you fall on.
The Christian haters are rabidly trying to devour them.
The friends and apologists are defending them.

The Duggers are Independent Baptists who are part of fundamentalist movement known as "Quiverfull". One of this movement's beliefs is that any form of contraception is wrong.

Juviniele court records were released that were sealed which is illegal. After the judge that proceeded over the case got wind of it he demanded all records be destroyed immediately.
