Well I’m not so sure I would call their program wholesome ‘Christian’ Programming with the structured life they appeared to have....but apparently some were attracted to that lifestyle. You gotta admit that 20 kids is a tad over the top. ...which is why they were asked about having doing a show. Not so much because they were Christian.

At any rate I understand people being upset over this whole affair...I might not agree with their take but I do understand where they’re coming from.

As for being a light EVERYWERE as you stated.....then we should all be hanging out in bars as well..yes? or how about strip joints?

I don’t think any here are saying this situation isn’t forgivable...rather the foolishness of some of the decisions made that enabled it to begin with.

For the record, I’m not a part of their religion. I don’t agree with everything they teach. But, I don’t agree with many other denominations either. That doesn’t mean they aren’t Christians or espouse those values.

I’m not sure what about their program isn’t “wholesome “ ? Maybe I’m missing something.

And 20 kids a tad over the top? In my opinion, it’s a lot. But it’s their choice. Who cares? They support their own, don’t depend on govt handouts, and they even give back. They contribute to society. ALL of them, even the kids. They teach their kids work ethic, life skills, and they are always somewhere doing something to help others.

And you are right. They were asked to do the show because of the crazy amount of kids they have. Not because they are Christian. But that’s not why THEY do the show. They do the show to, in part, share Christ, and they do that through their actions.

And as far as the bar and beer joint comment.... well, I’ve heard that excuse from Christians for years for to go against Christians getting out and actually being witnesses. Some say Christians shouldn’t do to sports games, because they sell beer, for example.... difference is, people go to bars for only a couple of reasons. And they’re mostly sinful. A strip joint is inherently sinful. A Christian can not be a part of those things without participating in the sin themselves, for the most part. They go to sports games or watch TV or MANY different reasons. A Christian can participate and keep their integrity intact.

And yes, several commenters here absolutely allude to the fact that it’s unforgivable. Some will say it straight out.
