Fox News’ Megyn Kelly finally aired her big, much-anticipated interview with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, in which they opened up about their son Josh Duggar‘s public confession that he molested several young girls, including his own sisters, when he was a teenager.
The first time it happened, they explained, was when their son came to them, crying and saying he had touched his young sisters when they were asleep. Michelle Duggar said, “We had one ray of hope in that Josh had a tender conscience.”
There were more instances afterwards, Jim Bob Duggar said, in which their son had inappropriately touched his sisters over their clothes and “a couple of instances where he touched them under their clothes, but it was like a few seconds.” And, as he noted, his son’s victims didn’t seem to understand what had happened to them until it was subsequently explained to them.
They got very emotional as they spoke to Duggar about how they felt they failed as parents and how they came to the decision to send their son Josh to get therapy. Later on, Kelly brought up 19 Kids and Counting––which has been pulled but not cancelled by TLC––and asked, “What would make you launch a reality TV show about your family, given this past?” Jim Bob Duggar said they weren’t worried because the records were sealed and they had dealt with all this years ago.

My husband was saying something similar earlier. People claim the Duggars put themselves up as a “perfect” family. When in reality their haters “see” them as perfect because they themselves are so, well, imperfect.
(Not saying I know the motivation of anyone here.)

Now on to you attacking the VICTIMS, because they are well....DUGGARS after all and you’ve made it clear how badly you hate them.

You ARE the problem, not the Duggars. See Megyn Kelly’s program tonite (Friday) for how the two girls really feel, and it is diametrically opposed to how you WANT them to feel. Hope you are happy perching on your moralistic high horse for something that happened 12 years ago by a 13-14 year old. Sounds to me you’d be happier that Josh was brought in a cart to the guillotine. Parents to follow.
The thing that most upset the two girls on Kelly’s show tonite was having to relive everything when the prostitute media outed them, and Josh too. So much for the sealed juvenile records that you so briefly mentioned and passed right on by. My emotional investment is having to deal with a bunch of leftists using this for their own agenda and them being helped out by the likes of you and your ilk.

Yup, the poor Duggars had to keep the corrupt universe out. Imagine having 19 kids, the oldest folding the younger ones, and the corruption surrounding them from the police department to the attorney general’s office. Now, from the media to the whitehouse.
The woman police chief who leaked the supposedly sealed juvenile records is a lesbian?? Interesting... didn't know that.
I am amazed at this feeding frenzy from the liberal to conservative media piling in demanding to know why the Duggars did not do more right away.
The bigger story is that the detective who first investigated this was later convicted of engaging in child pornography, the system they would have handed the son into did not have a any track record for rehabilitation, the police department was so corrupt that it wanted to profit from this situation, and the authorities do not seem motivated to investigate why the kids were not protected and why so many laws were violated on the part of the police.
The bigger story is the 1000’s of families with similar problems watching this and concluding that the authorities are not there to help but to destroy and so is the media.
I think these families are thinking twice and three times about turning over their kids to a system that is a very dangerous failure. I cannot emphasize enough that these authorities a very dangerous and destructive and possibly fatal to the wellbeing of the kids.
That is the real story.
Funny how Josh won’t sit down for an interview, isn’t it? His victims will, but he won’t.
Posting histories are there to be read. That’s why they exist. Taking advantage of that feature is not “stalking.” Try to tamp down the hysteria a little. Just bring it down a couple of levels, okay?
Yeah, I saw the girls’ interview. Lovely girls, aren’t they...my heart goes out to them. I don’t blame them for a single thing, but a couple of the things they said, which I imagine they picked up from their creepy parents, contradicted the police report.
And no matter how much they love their brother, feeling up the privates of his sisters, one little more than a baby, makes him a molester. By definition. And all the screaming in the world from his TV fan club won’t change it.
Now that was a pretty frenzied rant on your part-—and all in defense of some reality TV family. One would think you knew them, from the level of agitation. I guess I don’t get the celebrity worship thing, but whatever.
Oh, and all of those screechy, misspelled aspersions you’re throwing around? You know, like “liar”, “stalker”, “creepy”, “freak”, “messed up”? Some might consider those...what were the words you used....unChristian and Pharisaical.

The problem is with the individuals who are so wrapped up in some TV family that they screech like cats to defend them, even in the case of perversion.
Caught the daughter interview last night. They were very well coached and kept to the script of minimizing what happened to them.
I saw it, too.
I think those girls are absolutely beautiful, and I don’t blame them for a thing. But I did notice that when one would falter with an answer, she would look to the other for her to finish.
Some of what they said contradicted the police report, which was also the case with their parents the other night. I blame the parents for that. Either they were lying with the statements they gave the police, or they were lying to Megyn Kelly, because the facts don’t jibe.
I find it interesting that Josh Duggar won’t sit for an interview, even though his victims did.
Might as well get in the fray. I have not gotten the impression that his actions were overt and aggressive. In fact, the sisters described them as “subtle” acts and they had no idea, asleep or awake, that they were sexual. Just asking, but isn’t it possible that these touches were so subtle that only he knew what his intent was with his actions? At that point he felt guilt, remorse and confusion and then confessed to his parents in a plea for help?
Of course that is possible. I just do not believe the story being told, based on the amount of perverts involved with the case, and the inconsistencies with the reports at the time and the story now. I mean, really, we are supposed to believe that Josh was able to cop a feel on 5 girls and none of them realized what had happened until Jim Bob told them? That is a stretch for me.
There were locks installed on the girls bedroom after this incident. If it was all no big deal and all was forgiven and Josh was a changed man — why the need for locks? A safety measure? Against who?
Stupidest comment out of their mouth last night was “We are not a TV family. We’re just a family that happens to be on TV.” That one made me laugh.
They did do a good job to move the story forward and stay on message, though.
As a child I had a weird “sexual” encounter. I grew up in the country and our property was surrounded by families with only boys. Sometimes they would let me hang with them other times, get lost. I must have been ten and one day, me and one of the guys who was a couple of years older we at the creek. He went over to the weeds and took a quick whiz, he turned around and was holding his item and shaking it at me. I was terrified and appalled, ran for home. For several days I worried about it and kept it to myself. Finally, my mom asked me what was wrong and I broke down and told her what happened. She got me under control and the called the boy’s mother. Several days later the mom and boy came to our home and he apologized, that was pretty much it, although I never wanted to be near him again, everything had changed. Today, there is a high possibility he would have been placed on a list and his life ruined. I would have been questioned by authorities and scarred for life. I’m glad our country mothers worked it out.
